Located in the famous Placita de Santurce, I would only go there during the day because the lack of parking and how crowded the area can be. Now they have valet parking, but at night it can still be a nightmare, so go by Uber.
Every time I come here I am in no rush, and regularly spend 2-3 hours or more just enjoying a good conversation and a good meal. The place tends to be crowded and, although there is outside seating that gives you a splendid view of the crowds that gather at the Placita, I rather enjoy the cool air inside, so I usually have to wait a while for a table. The place, being small, means that you are closer to your neighbor than you would like, but that's OK with me.
Anything you order here will be as fresh as it can possibly be in PR. Many fishes are flown in from other countries, but that holds true for most seafood restaurants in the Island. Still, they are fresh!! I ordered a whole fried red snapper or chillo, and it was crispy, very well seasoned, tender and juicy. Cats would not have anything to eat from my leftovers!!! This is and always will be one of my go to places for fresh fish.
