When you stay at the Gallery Inn, you are staying in an incredible art museum with rooms and secret doors and passageways everywhere. Part of our trip to Old San Juan included exploring the books and crannies of this wonderful, magical place.
The piano bar—we sat in the lounge attached to the piano bar having a drink one night. While there, three people who didn’t know each other just started playing the lovely Steinway and singing together. To make it even more unique, a young man walked right off the street and joined them. All of them were incredibly talented.
The bartender—be sure to visit Gabriel, a true artist behind the bar. He will customize any drink to make it unique. Be aware that it’s pricey. You get what you pay for!
Spend some time hanging out with the owner, Jan, as well as the staff. They are great people and will tell you all kinds of fascinating things about the island and the hotel.
The only reason my review is four stars rather than five is that the water pressure was low. Keep in mind, though, that the hotel is 300 hundred years old.
Overall, a must-see for all tourists! We will absolutely stay here again. More
