Their mallorcas with cafe con leche were so good!
The cafe was packed by 8:30am but there was no one ahead of us and we found empty seats at the counter, which turned out to be the best seats in the house (IMHO). We were able to chat with a few of the local regulars and the gentleman who waited on us at the counter was a wonderful treasure trove of info about OSJ, on the delicious mallorcas and the cafe's ties to the famous (and now closed) mallorca bakery, La Bombanera.
Service was friendly and quick. Mallorcas and cafe con leche were delicious. Prices were very good.
Downside was the long queue to pay our tab at the cashier and confusion over table seating. By the time we were ready to leave, there was quite a large number of people standing at the entrance/cash register area. There was a chaos of people asking if they should wait to be seated while others behind them proceeded to grab available tables. Others were also walking back and forth through the cafe (and between those in line) searching for open tables. Get there early to avoid the crowds.
