We stayed at the Cave House, which was breathtakingly beautiful. It directly overlooks crystal clear waters, and it has its own private cove. There are "noodles" to help float, and we brought snorkel gear -- there are fish right there, just off the house. Since the cliff directly overlooks the water, it's totally possible to "cliff dive" in private into your private cove.
As others have said, the porch and area overlooking the water is more or less completely private, so we felt free to skinny dip -- although, ahem, watch out for the boaters going to Rick's Cafe two hotels down. (As a side note, the boaters and music from Rick's Cafe can be a little obnoxious -- we dealt with it by just going to dinner early.) The porch is *mostly* hidden by vegetation, but it's possible to see the Round House chairs to the left, and another set of chairs to the right. There are two full sunbathing benches in front of the porch that are in fact totally hidden, though, in case you want to sunbathe without a tan line :)
There is a tiny fridge (not a full kitchen here, though I think there is one at the Round House) so you can store your food, but no microwave.
The water pressure was fine and plenty hot, which was nice.
The staff was really nice - Trevor showed us around and the cleaning staff were relatively non-intrusive when we asked them if we could sleep in late. They did a great job cleaning up.
The continental breakfast was tiny, but enough to hold us over until lunch, and the quality of the fruit was indisputable.
- This is an open air cottage, so no air conditioning. I know others say they don't miss it with the overhead fans, but it does make a difference.
- "Open air" means open to geckos and small ants too. The geckos sing at night, like frogs, so bring ear plugs. The ants are mostly ignorable
As trenstar says, Ivan's Bar at Catcha Falling Star has impeccable food, and is walkable to; Devon's House of Ice cream has some of the best ice cream I've had; and Chicken Lavish's chicken does not live up to its name, but is fine. We would stay again.
