The beach is much smaller than the pictures make it look. It has sand and the chairs, two rows are all it can handle, and it has a lot of stones. Wading out into the water you can go very far out before the water is up to your knees. NO waves to speak of, which might be nice for very small children. I would compare it to a lake front more than a beach. You can see the cruise ships dock right across the bay, very close to the beach. You can not surf but kayaking is available as well as the water tricycles. Be aware, this is not an ocean beach as you normally would think of, it is a place where yuo can get incredible sunset pictures. Service from the resort staff is just okay bring drinks and food. Tipping goes a long way to faster service and they deserve the tips. For most of the day it is better to stay at the pool.

I like this beach. Its centrally located, has beautiful white sand and an old time athmosphere at a low entree fee. Safe swimming which I didn't do because of the cruise ships anchoring here most days of the week. I have a fobia fr swimming in what might be contaminated waters, but that could just be me. Love this place as a hang out with my girlfriends.

The beach is very quiet and pleasant. I would recommend water shoes because there are many urchins in the weedy bottom of the beach. I stepped on several and had to have the spines removed from my feet.

They were taking them out by the 5 gallon bucket full, " enough said" . The swim area is very small the water has many sea erchants and a few jelly fish, so wear water shoes and beware. The green flag was out daily, it was not safe in my mind. This beach is at a Marinia, a cruise ship comes in at least once a week, it was there three days when when we were there, no one from the ship came there on there for a day pass, " i womder why" !!??
