Fabulous place to stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 10 Mar 2024
Host greeted us warmly with a glass of planter punch. Helped us book restaurants, find good beaches, book tours...did everything he could to make us comfortable. Breakfast was HUGE. More than we could eat. Only time I've gotten a full pot of coffee and wife got a full pot of tea (and hot milk) and we've travelled the world. Natasha managed to both serve us breakfast and clean our rooms at the same time. (So we went back to a perfect bungalow with clean floors and made beds.) Only five bungalows, so always quiet. Wall and an electronic gate so felt super safe. Beautiful pool (very big and clean) with an attached jacuzzi spa. Birds (including humming birds), a friendly cat, a range of cool bugs and lizards--this was close to nature but with every possible convenience (we had coffee in the room, a microwave, refrigerator, and a stove). Absolutely the nicest place we've been in the Caribbean. Would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Guadeloupe.
We slept, swam, ate, drank, and soaked up the sun. Wish we could go back and stay for six months!

This is a small quaint establishment with on-site owner Michel there to greet guests upon arrival and for dinner. Little bungalows are very comfortable and include an outdoor kitchen which is customary in Guadaloupe. The French chef at the restaurant prepares wonderful meals that are moderately priced. Desserts are really good too! The hotel is close to several beautiful beaches near the point (tip) of the island. Staff at the hotel there are super friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again!

Comfortable spacious bungalows, great food and friendly, knowledgeable English-speaking host (Michel). Great location near beaches, wonderful St François, which has one of the best climates in the world (at least in Jan - Mar.)

An incredible host and staff, super friendly and full of great suggestions for our stay. Gives a great feeling of being all alone in the countryside, silent, surrounded by nature. The bungalow is really spacious and has all the necessary, though the kitchenette could be cleaner. However, we did not enjoy the two meals we ate there and the breakfast could use a little variety.

Great small hotel in a lovely part of the island. By preference stay in the bungalows rather than the rooms as you will have a small kitchen and your own terrace. Breakfast, lunch, dinner available by the pool if you don't self-cater. Prices in keeping with local restaurants. Nice quality, quantity good. You are never rushed. Enjoy the included ti'punch....careful its really strong.

Initially stayed between cruises from Point-a-Pitre, and liked it so much we stayed again, and then went back for a week. We are most unlikely to ever stay anywhere else on Guadaloupe.

Easy to walk into the pool, you don't have to use steps. Easy safe parking for a rental car. The air conditioning in the bungalows works really well. The grounds are well kept and clean, as is the pool.

Plenty of activities if you want them (try the gyrocopter flight!) Or just relax, explore the beaches and have some rum.

The photos are correct, it really is like that.....its not marketing "spin".

Michel was a lovely host, knowledgeable, charming and generous with his time.

Owner was very helpful and nice! Our room in second floor was spacious, very comfortable bed, pillows. Area was great, in 5 minutes walking distance was beautiful coast with rocks and huge waves. Nice, quite place, breakfast was simple, but acceptable for us. Near the hotel was Pointe des Châteaux, very beautiful place with stunning view. Also beach for snorkeling was great, nearby this place. In hotel you can get all accessories for that.

Fridge in room at first nights was too loud, but after few nights I even did not hear it.
