Overall great hotel, with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. It is ideal for families with children. The beach is great and clean, and the ‘Zen’ area with the infinity pool is a great place to escape the noise of the kids and music for an afternoon. There are so many different activities to do. I went there hoping to do a week of yoga and relax & reconnect. Laura, the yoga instructor was brilliant, she is a great teacher and projected her instructions very clearly. The only bad side to the yoga classes was that it was held in the reception/lobby! It was not at all pleasant, whilst trying to relax and disconnect to be surrounded by so much background noise (groups of children, the noise of the restaurant, the people playing ping pong). It would have made a lot more sense to have the classes on the grassy area, under a roofed pavilion just behind the Mango bar! When we asked the Sports Manager why this was, it was simply a time-tabling issue as they had a muscle/stretching class on at the same time. They could have easily switched the timings around. My fiancé & future sister-in law were disappointed. Otherwise, great overall experience.

Overall the property was very clean and well maintained. We stayed in the Grande Terre section. Rooms were cramped but clean and functional. Small balcony was nice. Rooms were cleaned daily. Plenty of entertainment and the beach was very clean with plenty of palm trees.
Plenty of food choices. Check the desserts before you dine just to leave room for all the delicious options.
Just a note, washcloths are not always supplied. Bring your own.
If traveling with young children, there is plenty of supervision and activities to keep the young ones entertained. But try to verify that the monitors speak English. It is a French speaking island.

I used to travel to Club Med as a kid and remember absolutely loving it. I haven’t been in almost 30 years. My family now usually stays only at luxury resorts and I tend to try to avoid all inclusive locations. I was at beaches in Turks and Keyko‘s last year at a friends recommendation and did not like it. My mother actually encouraged me to try getting back into Club Med And I was resistant but I came across Guadalupe which is an island I’ve never been before so I thought what the heck let’s try it. This was absolutely the best family vacation we’ve done so far, out of about 15-20 I am places I’ve been taking my family over the past eight years. In fact this is the first TripAdvisor review I’ve ever written I’m so compelled to write about it. If you like sports, staying active, keeping your kids active, you’re gonna love this place. The weather was outstanding and the activities were everything I love to do and of course the kids camp is just what I remembered, outstanding. Food was better than beaches. 2 Thumbs Way up for this place and the GO’s in Guadalupe

We are just back from wonderful holidays at Club Med La Caravelle. As a large 22-person family group of all ages, we were able to share many wonderful memories together as well as enjoying individually the wonderful array of activities and possibilities that the Club offers.

While the local staff is generally friendly and good (some were a bit “grumpy” or even “lazy”), our stay was greatly enhanced by many of the wonderful GMs who truly define the spirit of the place.

From Quentin the chef de village who has an unbelievable positive attitude and an incredible name recognition gift ability (he probably could recognize by name more than half of the 800+ guests of the resort) to most of the GMs whom we interacted with during our stay and deliver consistently the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. Very special mention to Jean Max who led the fitness program and became instantly the whole family favorite from the 9am muscular wake up until drinks post show. Other mention for Adrien who leads all terrestrial sports and Manon who very patiently extracted sea-urchin spines from my foot one by one!

Our room was in the newer constructions area and was well appointed and nicely designed. We appreciated the energy-savings features of the room inclusion motion activity lights

Food was a great fusion blend of local flavors and classic french staples. Plenty of fresh fish, veggies and fruits to enjoy at every meal. The dining room and wine program teams were super accommodating to our complicated needs and made sure we had great moments there too

Our first visit in 2018 was good enough to bring us back in 2020. The removations that took place in this period have transformed it into an even more desirable holiday destination. Our room was in the Marie Galante section overlooking the ocean as in 2018. The accommodations have been completely overhauled - fresh, bright tropical colours, very clean and the air conditioning system is fantastic! New bright furnishing throughout the resort are inspired by Carribeean hospitality and beauty. Food choices offered are a wonderful fusion of French and Carribbean using only the freshest of ingredients (NEVER miss the fresh fish and dessert offerings!) The beach is pristine - without question the best on the island of Guadeloupe - no expense was spared in rejuvenating this sand kissed paradise. It is also refreshing to see the switch to environmentally sound practices such as bamboo straws, cups and cutlery, as well as hand pumps in the rooms for soaps and lotions. The Chef du Village, Quentin, and his management team reach far above their duties to ensure guests have only the happiest holiday memories. The CO's are very friendly, helpful and interesting while remaining very professional in the execution of their duties and show great flexibility in their skills. They work very hard as luggage carriers, bar staff, swimming instructors, performing in the exiciting nightly shows and so much more!! Well done Club Med Guadeloupe - a fantastic holiday experience for all ages.
