The views were magnificent, the accommodations were comfortable, the beach was beautiful, the restaurant food was tasty, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Sitting in the hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean or swimming in the infinity pool with similar views was very relaxing. It was also very nice to have drinks at the beach bar overlooking the water. Also, having a kitchen to prepare meals is a major benefit and cost saver. Excursions to Grand Anse Beach, going on boat rides, and taking a hike to Seven Sisters Falls are all a must.

Room tip: All of the villas are nice.

Grenada isn't like most Caribbean islands. You have to WANT to go there. There aren't a lot of flights there. There aren't any trip-off cruises there that I know of. But what there is, is Maca Bana. I've stayed at 4 Diamond hotels; I've stayed at 5 Star hotels. The actual experience at them is in no way better than at Maca Bana. The accommodations, the staff, he location....there is nothing I can mention that is not top class. Where else are you going to be where you can enjoy not one but three rainbows in a single day...including one DOUBLE rainbow...from your own patio and/or hot tub? Or where you get fresh site-grown flowers every day? I almost hesitate to review it because I like it like it is: not over touristed, not crowded and mostly Grenadians everywhere you go. The Maca Bana is the ideal platform from which you can enjoy this wonderful island..and find yourself walking from your villa...to the restaurant/bar...and right off onto their beach, and Magazine Beach after that. Do it.

Room tip: Use the dedicated phone and drivers to get around and save yourself the trouble.

Beautiful location on a bluff overlooking the beach. High price for what it is. Be prepared to carry your own suitcase - up the hill and up and down steps! Nice fully equipped kitchen, saggy bed. Steep walk down the hill to the restaurant. Good food but very slow and poor service. We thought this would be a private beach but 40 to 50 cruise passengers arrive every other day to use the facilities there. Good snorkeling off the beach.

We stayed 2 nights in the Rock fig, which has an amazing view and a comfortable room layout. The room and deck are super clean, but could use a decor refresh for the price.
The office staff was great, very informative. The Aquarium restaurant staff were a mix of friendly and unfriendly. The food there was fair to good. There is a steep hill trek from the restaurant to all rooms.

This was our third visit to Grenada and our third stay at Maca Bana. Why would you stay anywhere else? The villas are all beautiful - great property, private hot tub, kitchen stocked for breakfast, great housekeeping, helpful and accommodating staff, terrific on site restaurant/bar Aquarium, lovely beach, pool, grounds - everything well maintained. You can simply stay at Maca Bana and enjoy total R & R, or hop in a taxi (we highly recommend Taxi Ricky) and explore.

Room tip: All the Villas are perfect -Coconut and Mango are favorites.
