Beautiful location on a bluff overlooking the beach. High price for what it is. Be prepared to carry your own suitcase - up the hill and up and down steps! Nice fully equipped kitchen, saggy bed. Steep walk down the hill to the restaurant. Good food but very slow and poor service. We thought this would be a private beach but 40 to 50 cruise passengers arrive every other day to use the facilities there. Good snorkeling off the beach.

We stayed 2 nights in the Rock fig, which has an amazing view and a comfortable room layout. The room and deck are super clean, but could use a decor refresh for the price.
The office staff was great, very informative. The Aquarium restaurant staff were a mix of friendly and unfriendly. The food there was fair to good. There is a steep hill trek from the restaurant to all rooms.

This was our third visit to Grenada and our third stay at Maca Bana. Why would you stay anywhere else? The villas are all beautiful - great property, private hot tub, kitchen stocked for breakfast, great housekeeping, helpful and accommodating staff, terrific on site restaurant/bar Aquarium, lovely beach, pool, grounds - everything well maintained. You can simply stay at Maca Bana and enjoy total R & R, or hop in a taxi (we highly recommend Taxi Ricky) and explore.

Room tip: All the Villas are perfect -Coconut and Mango are favorites.

We had an unexpected night's stay in Grenada due to a missed connection. At 6pm we were stuck at the airport, so I went on-line and found a room at Maca Bana, knowing nothing except that it was close to the airport and had a restaurant/bar with food. The manager came to the airport and picked us up, and we were pleasantly suprised to find out just how lovely the property is! The beach is beautiful, the setting is gorgeous, and our "cottage" was spacious, clean, and well furnished. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant, and then we lounged upstairs on our huge balcony. We cooked breakfast the next morning in the large kitchen as the manager brought over some coffee, bread, eggs, butter, jam, yogurt as we had to leave the next morning before breakfast started, and having AC in the bedroom made sleeping super comfy. A driver picked us up right on time at 7am the next morning and took us to the airport. All in all, a "disaster" turned into a surprisingly great evening!

I didn't know where my girlfriend booked us but it's usually an Air BnB or something small. We had a deck and hot tub overlooking the beach with the most amazing view of the island. It was ridiculous how perfect this place was. Even my parking spot on top of the hill had an amazing view like out of a car commercial. Service was outstanding. Not sure if they always do it, but the first day we were running behind to get to scuba and they washed all of our dirty dishes in the sink. The rest of the trip I rinsed them at least but every day I came home they were washed, dried, and put back in the cabinet. The restaurant/bar is down at the beach. It is a steep and long hill so don't expect to get drunk and want to walk back up at the end of the night. We did eat there once and the food was great too. Nixon, the hotel manager was inviting & friendly. He also gave us a temporary cell phone with about 15 minutes of service charged up in case we ever needed to call him or had an emergency. We didn't, but thought it was a nice touch.

Room tip: We had one of the top two rooms at the very top of the hill. I would recommend the same.
