Jenny's Place is at the far end of Grand Anse beach not far (1-2km) but far enough away from the larger resorts on the same stretch.

Our room was clean, well stocked and had A/C. After a few days the A/C wasn't needed, but still a nice touch. We stayed upstairs, our view of the water from our private balcony was spectacular, sunsets each day were a treat and not to be missed.. We did see ants on the deck only, never in the room, the cobwebs mentioned by the previous review may have been up in the 25 foot beautifully wood paneled ceiling, but besides that no worries on our trip. If you're used to spending hundreds or thousands of dollars per night in the city you may want to continue doing such, but if you like a friendly B&B this is a good fit... Bring your bug spray as well as sunscreen, it will be needed everywhere on Grenada...

The location couldnt be better. You have the great beach out your back door and 50 yards up the hill you can catch the #1 bus to St. Georges or towards the airport. Busses are 1 dollar US or 2.50 EC. It's only about 5-10 minute trip to the main bus terminal and from there you can get anywhere on the island, or just hangout in the city all day, there's plenty to see either way.

The entire staff at Jenny's was very nice, breakfast although light and simple was prompt and served with a smile. Any concerns we had, and there werent many were addressed promptly and without trouble..

Hi-5 to Jenny's thanks for your hospitality!!

Room Tip: upstairs prefered although all seemed nice

When we arrived at Jenny’s place I was instantly disappointed, the building looked in need of some TLC, my spirits lifted somewhat after finding a young man by the name of Rickle Edwards, he was very friendly and explained the running of the hotel and showed us to our apartment.
The good bit: - main bedroom had A/C and a ceiling fan which meant we slept soundly, main kitchen diner also had a ceiling fan as well as a free standing one.
Breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, fresh fruit, tea or coffee, fruit juice and the third morning we also got fried eggs.
There was a good selection of dinners, I had shark bites on the first night and there were very tasty.
Free Wi-Fi, Staff very friendly and helpful.

The not so good bit:-
Unfortunately the first thing my children noticed was the amount of cobwebs; they were everywhere, the main lights, the ceilings, the curtain rods, behind the doors, above the wardrobes, in the bathroom.
For me cobwebs are a sign that no real cleaning has taken place in some time and it was very off-putting.
On our small veranda was a table that had unsightly brown stains and when we looked over the awning under our window it looked like someone had been sick on it.
The grounds were well kept, but when I went to lie on the ONE sun lounger it was dirty, broken and covered in black ants.
Room service came in on our third day the bins had been emptied, but the floors were upswept, and it didn’t look like any proper cleaning had been done, pillowcases had been removed from the pillows but not replaced.
The whole apartment could have done with a thorough good clean as my photos will show.
On our last night we found three very large cockroaches which absolutely scared my kids to death, to the point that they didn’t want to go to sleep.
Because we were leaving late afternoon we had to switch apartments, this was a welcome change and we were disappointed not to have had the apartment we were switched to for the duration of our stay, it was much nicer and cleaner with a veranda which lead straight onto the back lawn.
I read the reviews but they were not true to fact, perhaps a friend or relative wrote them and I am upset about this because I booked on the basis of the reviews that I read.
I personally would not stay here again but would not go as far as not recommending it, depending on your budget it is reasonable, don’t expect four (4) star accommodation its nearer 2 star.
Defiantly room for improvement and could be a really nice hotel with a bit more attention to detail and a bit of lick and polish.

We stayed here for the first 2 weeks in March in the Hibiscus room which is upstairs on the corner of the building.

The room is huge with a very high vaulted wooden ceiling. Their is adequate furniture & the room is kept spotlessly clean. The bedding & towels are changed regularly. The a/c & fan provide adequate cooling. We made full use of the fridge which although very old works very well. We didn't do any cooking but provided our own breakfasts as breakfast in the restaurant is quite basic. We didn't consider this to be a problem.

Our only slight complaints were the dripping tap in the kitchen sink & the broken light bulbs. The staff were aware of these faults but they never got fixed. It didn't spoil our stay.

The location is truly fantastic as previously reported. All of the staff are really friendly & Nikki runs a great bar. Leenet & Rikel cook the lunches & dinner & we tried several restaurants in Grenada & reckon the Oasis to be as good as any. In fact we ate seafood for every meal. The catch of the day was always well cooked & served with a good salad & choice of vegetables. The lobsters were excellent. We had long Sunday lunches here for both weekends, a great way to kill a few hours eating, drinking & mixing with the locals.

We hired a jeep while we were here, Rikel provided us with a contact. On his day off he willingly volunteered to show us around this beautiful island. What a great day we had & he turned out to be an excellent guide. On the way we met several members of his family as well as enjoying all of the obvious sites. Waterfalls, distilleries etc. We treated him to lunch at the Bel Mont estate, the only payment he would accept.

Altogether, an excellent vacation. Would we return to Grenada?...........YES
Would we stay at Jenny's?......................................................................YES!!

Having read previous reviews we decided to book this hotel. We didn't have a good start as the taxi booked to collect us from the airport did not arrive. After 2 phone calls to the hotel we were told to just get a local taxi as the cost would be the same. We could have done this anyway if we had known and saved a half hour wait. The location was great as it was right on the beach although not at the most desired end. The rooms were large with a kitchen area, TV and internet access. Everything was clean but could do with little TLC especially in the area at the entrance to the rooms which was dingy and reminded me of a grotty tower block. This hotel has recently changed hands and not all the information on the internet is up to date. There are no complimentary beds for the beach although they do provide beach towels. The breakfast is described as tropical which actually consists of cereal, toast and a fews slices of fruit. They even ran out of butter for the toast which really is bad management. We had a snack at the Oasis restaurant which was nice and the prices were in line with other places for food and drink. We returned to St George's later in our trip after a visit to Carriacou and chose a to stay at the hotel next door. I thought this hotel was expensive for the service and standard of rooms.
