Despite some of the comments in the reviews, the service was good, the choice and quality of food was excellent. Their was good quality of local food well prepared.Pleasant surroundings, a very pleasant evening,on our last night in Grenada.
Best food we had in a restaurant in Grenada. Try it for your self.

Everything about the Red Crab was disappointing. Bad service, food was even worse than the service. Our sons shrimp crepe was made with lobster and had chunks of shell(lobster hard exterior in it) My wife's rare steak was blue and had a hair in it. All of the lobster was overcooked. The rice was stale and vegetable was one small piece of cauliflower. Oh yeah we waited 1 hour and 45 min for our food to come. Please don't waste your money or time with this place.

The food was not bad. If you are looking for cheap lobster meal then be sure to visit on a Friday or Saturday night.

We visited this venue when we first arrived in Grenada. It was 1:30 p.m. and we were thinking of a late lunch. The lady in charge told us the kitchen closed at 2:00 p.m and we shouldn't order anything. So we asked for wine...which we received, begrudgingly. We have lived on the island all this time and have never gone back because of the poor reception we received in 2008. We, as a group of 10 people, ventured out to the Red Crab tonight. The service is as poor as it was 8 years ago. We all walked to the restaurant next door...The Junction--much cheaper and far better service. It never pays to upset your local clientele. Please don't bother with The Red Crab. Grenada has a lot to offer...and these folks do not exeplify the spirit of Grenada.

We were staying at the Calabash but we were told to try the red crab for a change. It appears that the former maitre de died last November and his son, Scott, is now front of house.
When we arrived Scott was attentive and pleasant company. The food was good but not spectacular however the service that started well deteriorated rapidly when it came to settling the bill
It was clear that Scott was more interested in chatting to his friends at the bar than looking after his customers in the restaurant.
We waited nearly 20 minutes for the bill during which time Scott came over, apologised and offered us a complementary cognac, which never came.
Eventually we got the bill and the tip reflected the level of service we had received.
I told him I thought he was ruining his business and he agreed he had become complacent but that I had no right to make that comment. C'est la vie. He said earlier that, whilst he did not rate TA, his mother did. Maybe she can influence him for the better
In conclusion, whilst the Red Crab may be a few pennies cheaper, stick to the Calabash for quality and real service
