We had a destination wedding to attend but could not afford the venue. Fortunately, someone at my husband's work was a member here. The front desk answered so many questions pleasantly via email prior to our stay and were just as helpful when we were there. We did appreciate our large corner room and the exclusiveness of the smaller part of the resort. However, we appreciated the food and entertainment afforded by being part of the larger VIK resort. Where we were at was kept quiet and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and after attending the wedding at the upscale and overly populated resort, appreciated coming back to our resort.

Great service good food and beautiful beach! What else could you ask for! Rooms very clean every day. Don't know with some survey when they say food was horrible. If you call omelettes, pasta with all kind of sauces, beef, pork, lamb, burgers, chicken, all of it cooked fresh in 4 different stations, got to tell you my have a appetite problem. The beach was beautiful, some seaweed but they do a great job of cleaning them every day. Service it's awesome. Security every corner of the hotel. Entertainment daily great. Defently a place for families with kids, but good for couples too. (Don't blame the turbulence on your flight on them), just go and you'll have fun, I'll guarantee. Can't wait to see you guys again. Many thanks from me, my wife and specially my kids ages 7 and 9. Thanks for reading this and believe every word of it!

Let me start off by saying that this place is clean and very friendly people.. however there is nothing to do on the Cayena Beach side even though it a time share there is nothing to do, unless you want to go to the VIK side ..
the beach was just ok cause of the seaweed everyday..the food was average the same thing every day (boring)
but if you like just to sit around and do nothing then this is a place to go.

Dear Roneen, thank you very much for taking your valuable to share your experiences with us! It is correct that there is no entertainment at the Cayena side as we are the quiet part where you can relax at the pool or on the beach to disconnect from everyday stress. As we are aware that not everyone wants to relax all day long Cayena guests have full access to all service and facilities of the VIK Hotel Arena Blanca where they offer day and nighttime entertainment.

We arrived and was welcomed by a very friendly and helpful desk clerk, Patricio Yan.
The resort is very nice and the food was good! You did not have to have reservations for the specialty restaurants. Very few people spoke English there but we did ok. People would hear us talking and come up to us saying "someone else that speaks English".
The beach was nice. It just had the shade places placed too close together and there was a big drop in parts of the sand where the chairs were located. We had a very nice time and even enjoyed one night in the VIP section due to our rooms not being ready when we arrived. It was very nice but the normal side was just as good.
The entertainment was good too. We saw Michael Jackson and several other shows.
They have a great children's activity group which would have the children put on a show every evening before the adult show. None of the bars stay open late in order for you to sit and visit other visitors..
The internet in the lobby was hard to stay linked to during the day but late at night or early morning you could get very good reception.
The stores on the resort are very expensive. But, if you walk down the beach a short way you will find several little shops.
We did enjoy this trip very much. We would recommend it to others.

Room Tip: We were in block 4 and loved it. It is close to everything.

I just returned from staying at VIK for a week. You basically get what you pay for. Was a very cheap last minute deal. Food was not great but I did not go hungry. "Mexican" restraunt was nothing like authentic Mexican food so don't even waste your time if you have had real Mexican food.... you will be disspointed. It was mind boggling to me that there was no fresh seafood. I went to seafood restraunt one night and they served shrimp from a can! Stick to buffet. Most staff was friendly. Beach was beautiful and made up for the food. Beach vendors took a deposit for horseback riding and then never showed up to pick us up. My advice is to stay on resort as our one day off resort was very sketchy.

Dear Nikandra, thank you for having chosen our resort for your vacation and for taking your valuable time to share your experiences with us. We are sorry to hear that the food did not meet your expectations, even though we know that food preferences are a personal matter your comment is very important for us as we are working on meeting all our guests' expectations.
As for the beach vendor, we highly recommend to only buy excursions with authorized representatives onsite as this gives us the opportunity to assist your with any problems occurring regarding an excursion.
Furthermore we would like to thank you for your kind words on the friendliness of our staff and the beach.
We honestly hope that the Mexcian food and your experience with the beach vendor will not keep you from maybe considering our resort for a future vacation.
