This hotel was affordable and very clean. Food was delicious with many different choices each day at buffet. Staff outstanding, especially Marlyn and Generoso! Michael Jackson show was fantastic! Recommend!

Hello Elizabeth Ventura , Many thanks to the Staff/Family of Iberostar Costa Dorada.
I would like to acknowledge our third stay at your resort, it was a pleasure to meet you in person(by the beach bar) during our stay. Thank You for your emails prior to our arrival. Once again I was very pleased with the quality atmosphere of your resort, and especially of the excellent, dedicated staff who work such long hours to make our stay so enjoyable. Of note: Rosa, Generosso, Pepsi Cola, Pina Colada, Emmanuel, Jesus, Miguel(at the beach bar recognized me from 2019 it was nice to be remembered) and many other staff members as well.
My favorite area of the resort is the pool and central courtyard with all the palm trees and gardens it is very relaxing to me. Especially beautiful at night with the lighting. I think this, along with the size of the resort and the staff is the main reason I enjoy this resort so much and hope to return many more times.
Quality food is very important to me and in my opinion food choices were excellent and well prepared. Always something for different tastes and as usual the Costa Dorada did not disappoint when it comes to food selection and Restaurants. We ate at the Mexican Restaurant one night and the food and restaurant overall was a big improvement over a previous visit. I was very satisfied with the meal served.
Our patio door lock broke and I spoke with the front desk, the lock was repaired within one hour and was followed up with a phone call later in the day confirming it had been repaired, excellent service 10+++.
I hope to see hand sanitizer " personally" applied to each guest upon entering the buffet after Covid protocols are relaxed. I found it very welcoming each time to be greeted at the entrance of the buffet. Unfortunately many guests forget the importance of washing hands or using sanitizer, creating an opportunity to possibly spread unwelcomed virus/bacteria to other guests in a buffet setting.
I know there are ongoing upgrades to the rooms and the resort overall. I have stayed in buildings 6,7 and 8 and yes rooms are a little dated as I see in some reviews but has not been an issue for me personally, The cleaning staff do an excellent job and I have always found the rooms clean and welcoming. I sleep very well every night. Thank You for another relaxing experience at your resort. You provide and excellent vacation experience. Another guest (1st visit) I spoke with, who has stayed at many other resorts all over the Dominican Republic was very pleased with the Costa Dorada, said it was a very good, one of the nicest places he has stayed at and he would return again. I will not hesitate to recommend Iberostar Costa Dorada it to friends and family.

The complex is beautiful, and the staff in the lobby area and bars are very friendly but they manage our checking process really slow. The rooms are old and a lot of things doesn’t work properly.
If u are Dominican be aware cuz they will treat you different, even when we are in our own county, they pay not attention to us, in the buffet area the waiter doesn’t even clean our tables, we have to beg for attention, you have to tip them or you won’t receive a good service.

The food was not good, no variety, every day the same food with no taste.

It was a very disappointing experience. Don’t think I would ever come back.

Room tip: Si eres dominicano no vayas en temporada festivas porque nos tratan súper diferente y ni atención le ponen a uno.

Our family of 8 stayed at this resort this past week, food was decent, most of the Staff were awesome, beach was OK, having to spend a total of 4 hours going back and forth to have room keys reset (and the list of people doing this was long) just to be informed that I can't have my key next to my phone, watch or any credit cards without it being deactivated was a huge annoyance, especially after the part where a manager went out with new cards and they also didn't work, our room safe in one room never worked and wasn't fixed, and the other safe stopped working on day 3 and we were unable to open it, causing us to wait another hour to have security come replace batteries, and fix some loose parts. A manager offered 2 massages which we accepted as compensation for the lost time.

Now the massage staff...my God these girls were the saving grace, I wish I grabbed names to properly thank them but after the comp massage we booked additional treatment and would do so again
...they were amazing.

I stayed from May 20-27th and I had a fabulous time. The weather was perfect, sunny everyday. All the staff were wonderful. Always greeted me warmly. Special thanks to the entertainment team for always getting my son & I involved in the activities. We enjoyed the buffet and the a la cartes. Great service. Will definitely go back to this resort!
