We just had lunch at landhuis 'doktor's tuintje'. Really, really good. Being a Sunday the place was packed. The food was worth waiting for. It was a long time a go we had such a tasty snapper. Super!

Thank Peter M

The house and location of the restaurant deserves a visit, and the service is outstanding and above the average. Local food taste is great in a natural and traditional environment kabrito is a must, funchi, tutu and other choices, let the kind waitresses assist you. We went the hole family and the kindness and patience with the kids was great. Good choice.

We were in town from Westpunt and looking for a place for lunch. Landhuis Dokterstuin is a spacious restaurant, with space for groups of varying sizes. The buzz was that this restaurant specialized in local food, and the menu bore this claim out. Our trio settled on yambo (an okra stew accompanied by polenta) and kabaron (sautéed prawns which we accompanied with tutu - a black-eyed pea and polenta combo that is like thick mashed potatoes). All orders came with some fried plantain. The stew eaters, who happened to like okra a lot, were delighted and slightly daunted by the large serving. The kabaron eater (prawns) found them large, chewy and filling. The home made fruit punch was most satisfying on a hot day. Staff were helpful in navigating the menu, which uses papiamento terms for many dishes. The venue is covered (so good even on a rainy day) and a good place to catch breezes on a hot day. There were other dishes on the menu that looked intriguing, but sadly we did not make a return visit.

Had lunch at this place. They mainly serve local cuisine. We all took a beef stew which was delicious same for the fresh juices. Food is cheap and large portions. Staff is friendly and we didn't have to wait long. Don't expect anything fancy.
