The EM City has an excellent location, but the facilities need some serious tender care. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable, there were electric strings hanging from a ceiling corner, there was no comforter of cover for the bed, so if the a/c was doing its job, you only had the thin sheet to cover or had to turn it off.
It was a maze getting in and out of our room (second floor, center of building facing the water). Some access doors were closed so you could not use some stairs as they would end up in a dead end exit. Price is definitely cheap, and the view of our room was right to the water, but so was the noise coming up our room at night from people chatting downstairs in the plaza. We were able to change hotels right the same day a band was setting up a huge stage for a public performance that Thursday night, and I guess for all weekend. Their location IS excellent if you want to be in the center of the busy plaza and move about easily.

Room Tip: Lower rooms will get the noise from the street.

Thank you for choosing us. We are indeed in the center of it all and for city lovers it is perfect. We are located right at Brionplein, where activities take place mostly during the weekend and not every weekend. The hotel is going through refurbishing of the rooms. We have comforter in all the rooms, excuse us if you did not have one by mistake. Please feel free to call FO to request anything you need next time you visit us. We are sorry for your inconvenience and we would like to serve you better next time when the hotel is completely changed into a boutique style hotel.

The hotel is old and as such will have some aesthetic issues. They have the basic amenities safe in room, hot water, iron, clean sheets and towel, maid service and network cable and WiFi in room.
It is located close to many fast food restaurants PizzaHut, KFC & Subway.

Stayed one night and had a fabulous view of Willemstad, no complaints there get odd numbered rooms starting at 01-11 preferably on floors 2-3. Front desk is helpful and make sure to give :30mins for a cab early if the need arises, and if you rent a car, maybe not the safest place, but the police are normally within eyeshot to ensure you're safe. No crime in the area that we could see, just people having a good time. Yes there are dealers hanging out but they only asked then left us alone. All was well, but the rooms were in need of upgrades but for $80 you can't complain being in the heart of the city with great bars and restaurants 2 minutes away walking. Cheers!

The picture hanging in the hotel room photo says it all , attention to anything was non-existent. Room smelled of mould and smoke , everything was old and run down , lobby furniture looked like it had never been cleaned , elevator was broke down no one doing a repair , we wouldn't use the shower. There is no restaurant , wouldn't swim in their pool nor sit on the lounge chairs. The only positive was the location.

This is my second time in Curaçao. This island has many interesting sites.
The shopping is a bit high but there are also some shops that you can find a bargain
Or two. The floating bridge is quite interesting an the view is beautiful. There is
Also a sea aquarium and an interesting market.

Room Tip: Views of the city and floating bridge
