We actually attended a holiday service (Purim). The congregation was very welcoming, the cantor conducted an enjoyable service and the history and building itself were very interesting. Worth a visit to hear about the early Jewish residents who fled from Spain and found a safe home in Curaçao.

It is very old, singularly unique and an integral institution in the development of Curacao. The Jewish diaspora found a relatively safe place to grow here. The structure symbolizes their fears, and reflects their resilience in its structure and survival.

Lovely building with a resonant history. Do try to see it with a personal tour from Gigi - a member of the congregation who does a great tour of Curacao focussed on its Jewish heritage.

The synagogue and adjoining museum were a "must see" on our trip to Curacao and we were not disappointed. The museum has many interesting artifacts and gives you a good sense of the history of the Jewish population on the island.

A very interesting place to visit. Historic building with lovely religious architecture and sand floors. Beautiful tombstones and a very interesting small museum about the Jewish culture on the island - but you are not allowed to take photographs in the museum - only in the synagogue itself. Well worth seeing. $10 at the door. The synagogue is accessible - the museum is accessible on the ground floor only.
