Stayed three nights bed and breakfast before moving on to varadero resort, breakfast had little choice and hot was cold on two of the three times we eat, but we managed to get a meal before heading out on trips.
One evening due to a storm in Havana we eat at the hotel rather than get soaked going outside, the choice of set meal was pork or fish when we asked the waiter what type of fish response was white fish which really doesn’t narrow it down much. We went with fish which arrived Luke warm. The cost of this meal was 12 cuc each which included one soft drink. After this experience we always eat at California Cafe which is around the block behind the hotel.
The rooftop pool and bar is lovely, but beware that the drinks are quite expensive.
One annoyance if you get a bottle of water from your mini bar it costs 1.50 cuc, however the exact same bottle of water is 2.50 cuc in the lobby bar.
Had the food been better I’d have given 5*, but enjoyed my stay - I’d simply recommend you eat elsewhere. More
