We had a very pleasant experience at David and Lidia's. We stayed in David Junior's house, some doors beside the main house. We spent a week there in January.

Our room was very comfortable and quiet (a nice surprise, knowing that the streets around are quite noisy!). Both room and bathroom were perfectly clean. We enjoyed visiting the neighborhood, where we were feeling totally secure at any moment.

A special thanks to David and his staff, who were always available to answer to our questions and give some advice (even in French!). They all were very nice and happily dedicated to their guests.

We had a great time and absolutely recommend this place.

A beautiful little casa with lovely breakfasts, we stayed at one of Davids other properties less than 2 mins walk away. the main property where breakfast is had has a beautiful courtyard with fountains with terrapins in and alligators on the floor!
Our property with the beds had a little open air area with seats and a night guard for security.
The casa location was about a 20 min walk into the old town and David was kind enough to arrange taxi transport to and from the airport.

We had a package holiday booked in Varedero but wanted to visit Havana for three nights. We emailed David from the UK and got very prompt replies which surprised us as the internet is not widely available locally unless you visit the designated wifi areas (generally Park Squares)

There wasnt room in the main house but we stayed in one of his other Casa's Little David nearby. We had a very warm welcome, staff and David speak english (and several other languages.) nothing is too much trouble and they recommended resturants and gave us some advice on the CUC currency and where we wouldnt be able to spend it, what we could expect to pay for a taxi back to the Casa etc. If you are travelling elsewhere the staff will ring and find you a Casa at your next destination.

Little David is colonial with very high ceilings. Our room was very grand with a chandelier, large comfortable bed, air conditioning, a fridge and a fan as well as an ensuite bathroom. It was spotless, cleaned every day with fresh towells and sheets. The courtyard was lovely with rocking chairs to chill at the end of the day and watch the resident turtles in the pond.
Coffee and juices were available at the main house at any time of day and we were given keys for both houses. Breakfast was served in the main house with a large variety of cooked and continental foods.
The casa's are in Central Havana within walking distance of all the sights, old Havana etc and provides a fascinating insight into life in Cuba. Dont be put off by the outside of the Casa/street. You will be walking into a piece of heaven.
David is a vet and is currently nuturing 2 baby alligators in the main house but dont worry although they have the run of the courtyard they generally stayed out of our way and we loved seeing them.
We would recommend a visit to Davids and will certainly be returning some day to tour Cuba and ditching the package holiday starting in this Casa instead.

my second visit here and again the same pleasure to be warmly greeted, to notice that time has suspended its walk, that the same ingredients still work fine i.e. hospitality, great food, eagerness to help and advice, cleanliness and hygiene. keep going david and Yaris you are doing the right things

Hi guys, I was in david's house and I can tell you that is a good place to stay in Haban Cuba. his house is clean, confortable and its design is very traditional. Also the ubication is perfect, close to old havana and also close to Vedado, actually I walk to both places ( I am a good walker). David, Lidia and all their workers are very kind.

The breakfast is good, but also you can find more option with the same prices in old havana.
Good trip
