It was basic, and you’re probably better off staying in a casa particular or a pricier hotel.
Cons: The rooms were old, balcony door didn’t even open. Moldy everything, dead roach in the bathroom, paint peeling, pool was dirty (garbage inside) & the attendants weren’t bothering to take it out. They don’t offer WiFi in the hotel yet they sell the 1hr cars and tell you to either stand outside or go to the hotel next door.

Stay away from the free breakfast, unless you don’t mind eating food with roaches walking all over it.

Pros: affordable & the staff was awesome.

Needed a night on the outskirts of Havana and knew this hotel would be cheaper than anywhere else. I found the architecture and the views interesting. Loved the out of tune piano playing at breakfast (which was included, vast but basic, and ok).
The room was spartan but clean, the pool area was nice, shame people had left drink cans in the pool. Enjoyed the 24 hour hotel bar with live music.
All in all a fun, Soviet retro style overnight, not for anyone looking for luxury or fine dining.

The pictures of the hotel are the pictures from when the hotel was originally built! The place is not at all what I expected. The rooms are dirty and dated and you have to use your hotel card key to turn on the AC! When I checked into the hotel, the security was very friendly, but the front desk was not. There are supposed to be 4 elevators, but only one elevator was working and the hotel could care less. None of this was disclosed upfront, but get ready to wait 20 minutes on the elevator just to get to your hotel room on top of being crammed with a dozen other people!

Room Tip: Request a lower floor since the elevators don't work!
