This hotel undersells itself so I am here to correct that! This place is amazing! The hop on hop off bus runs from right outside the hotel from 9am and runs every 40mins. $10 CUC per person for all day access. There is a supermarket across the road (its kind of easy to miss so ask the reception staff), there’s two fabulous restaurants right across the street plus a gelato place down the road. Wifi is $2 CUC for an hour (not the ‘super expensive’ rates we feared!), there’s a great pool, a pool bar, another sea pool, it’s just amazing. A must stay.

Tälläiseen matkailuun hotelli on erittäin hyvä.

If You are travelling from Europe to Cuba, it is good to know its history and the present. This will give you more freedom and avoid disappointment. And it is also good to be prepared for the hotel star rating in Europe and Cuba not directly comparable. If you are used to travell in 3-5 star hotels in Europe, then the level in Cuba may not be the same.

The hotel is a nice option if you want to stay by the sea away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Hotel is situated some 8-9 km way from the center, but the taxi and public transportation is easy to use. We agreed with our hotel, for example, airport transfer to hotel and it worked well.
The hotel also has experienced autumn hurricanes. And those damages were still being under decoration. Likewise, the hotel had other repair work going on all the time, but they did not bother us. They were known in advance. Much remains to be fixed, but all the time is work for comfort and general cleanliness. And remember that the general level of cleanliness and buildings condition are not as nice as in Europe.

The entire staff's service attitude was very good; helpful and smiling. The hotel reception helped matter as a matter. If they did not know, they found out and told.

Breakfast is very good compared to local conditions and what they usually eat in Cuba. Everything what You’ll need, was found. It is good to remember that if You are in Cuba, You should eat as Cubas way.

The rooms were average, not luxury, not bad. Well, we enjoyed it. Some of the rooms were not in use during the low season and were prepared for the high season. There was warm water enough every day for two people. No power outages. Cleaning was every day. Also the cleaners were very friendly. They English language was not as good as other employees. You can manage everything in English but sure if you know Spanish, that's good.

There were restaurant services adequate as well, at least to an adults who does not need nightclub life. A pizzeria and a diner restaurant as well as a lobby bar, which is open 24/7. The dinner table level did not reach the breakfast level. Service at all places very friendly. The price level is normal for the local level and cheaper than downtown locations.

We chose the hotel because of its location. We wanted to get to the sea and combine culture and sunshine. For this kind of turism the hotel is very good.

We are very pleased with the hotel and especially its staff.

This is a good option if you like to explore the city during the day and still love the afternoon sunbathing and swimming. We stayed 2 nights.
The hotel is quite basic, but located on the seaside and has a nice sea swimming area. The beach towels are provided for free. The pool bar was not operational, probably because of the low season. Safe in the room cost 2 CUC/night. There is a supermarket across the street and several restaurants near the hotel. The hotel has its own parking.
We got a room without balcony, even though there were not many guests during our stay. Did not try to change, stayed shortly. There was a strange smell in the room, but I suppose is by the humidity all around. A/C was just flowing the cold air, with no regard to any setting we tried :) at least it worked. Some equipment and furniture looked quite used, but we did not see any actual damage to the hotel after the Irma hurricane.
There was a fridge in the room. No bottled water provided. Cleaning was ok and water in the shower had good pressure and hot water worked (which is not to be expected automatically in Cuba, as we later discovered!).
The internet card for 1 hour cost 3 CUC which was the highest price of the 5 hotels we stayed in around the island.
The breakfast selection was great and tasty, one of the best we had during our holidays. We did not try dinner at the hotel, had some fried snack at the bar, which was edible.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony, you might not get it automatically

I stayed at an Airbnb property close to this hotel, and frequented the hotel to use their computers, wifi, money exchange, drinks, book an excursion etc. The food menu or breakfast buffet didn't look appealing, so I'm not sure how the food tastes, but the staff were personable and accommodating. From the appearance it could use some painting and repairs, however, I didn't hear any of the guests complaining or witness any issues. It wasn't overly crowded, so the pool was usable, and pretty peaceful.

Room Tip: Unfortunately I didn't see any of the rooms.

The room was slightly musty smelling, but I suppose it's to be expected when the humidity is so high. Our air conditioning unit worked well, breakfast was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed with band playing in the bar. I didn't use the hotel pool as it was very busy but I did use the sea pool, although the surroundings are delapitated the sea is warm and clean and it is very large so a proper swim can be had. Staff are friendly. The Italian restaurant opposite (Ernest Hemingway) was excellent
