A unique experience...
The House is definitely a ‘home’...
secure, relaxed, safe surroundings, in this beautiful part of the Caribbean.
Residents & staff as ‘one’...

Exceptionally positive, smiling & helpful staff... nothing is too much trouble!!!

The House is so good that we’d love to return as more than just a couple, but with our son & partner, too...
Same period... to enjoy the festive season leading into 2019... fingers crossed!!!

Can’t wait for the champers at breakfast...

Our happy, unforgettable experience in Paradise... The House.

We stayed at the house for 5 nights. The staff was really great. I think that’s what I liked most about this hotel. As well as the wonderful afternoon tea.
The room was nice. Be aware that ground floor rooms don’t give you a great view of the sea since there are umbrellas and chairs and the such in front of your patio.
Although it was a great place to be I do think that it is a little too small to be able to relax around the pool all day long.
I recommend the Tamarind Bar at it’s sister property for relatively cheap eats.

Dear SeattleNoi,

We are delighted that your first visit to Barbados was such a hit, and that our staff was able to help make that happen. It always pleases us to hear that our guests really enjoyed their visit and to know that the exceptional service offered to our guests contributed to a successful and memorable stay! We are delighted that you were able to indulge in the sweet treats at afternoon tea and that you even had a chance to walk over to Tamarind and enjoy the eats over there. We hope you had the opportunity to hop on the water taxi and explore our other sister properties and their pools and beaches as well.

We appreciate your warm review and look forward to seeing you again on your return trip to paradise!

Warmest Regards,
Maggie L.

We have just returned from The House after 11 nights. This is an incredible hotel - beautifully presented and in the perfect location. The concept of The House, which I think has been missed somewhat by the review below, is that you feel you are in someone's home, rather than a hotel eg no formal reception desk- this concept works brilliantly.
The ambassadors are what makes this hotel - every single one of them are attentive, helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
The breakfasts are delicious - loads of choice and an egg station where you can order eggs cooked however you desire. We never had to ask once for coffee or tea or champagne - it was always offered.
You are offered water throughout the day, fresh fruit delivered to your sun bed, homemade ice cream every afternoon and afternoon tea, to die for.
The Manager (Sandra) and her ambassadors work tirelessly and because of their hard work they make this hotel an absolute delight to stay at.
We had an ocean view suite which was amazing.
Lots of water sports which are free (except jet skis) and the guys that run the water sports are great fun.
Daphne's is nice but we found other restaurants which we preferred - the Cliff Beach, Cin Cin, Tides and Cariba are all worth a visit.
Thank you to The House and Barbados for a wonderful holiday.

Dear Rachel S,

We wish to extend our gratitude for choosing to stay at The House for 11 days recently! Our team is pleased to learn that you truly enjoyed the concept of our hotel, and do hope that you felt The House is your new home away from home in paradise. We are thrilled that you felt pampered throughout the duration of your stay from our ambassadors, as they truly are what makes our hotel so unique. The champagne breakfast is always a favorite of guests, and it is lovely that you enjoyed the wide variety of options there as well! Additionally, it is great that you were able to view our coastline from the kayaks, paddle boards and hobie cats and felt that our team that ran those were great fun.

We cannot thank you enough for your recommendations and becoming apart of our family, it was our absolute pleasure to host you at our beautiful home.

Warmest Regards,
Maggie L.

We went to stay at The House in Nov/ Dec 2017 we were all excited, but the ten days was not as good as we thought.
The breakfast is nice but the same every day, you had to ask for your tea or coffee and even the champagne was not brought to you without asking for it.
The staff were ok, not a lot of contact with the guests, and it was difficult to know who was in charge as there was no reception area or information area.
The rooms are a little dated and in our room, no plugs to use for blow drying your hair, except my the tea making area.
The bed was comfortable and linen was clean and towels were not of quality.
The door to our room kept sticking, the toilet blocked and had to be seen too.
The lounger beds were grabbed everyday by the same guests which made it a little problem for us all.
The restaurant was expensive and we ate out every night, had rides on the reggae bus which was only an American dollar and great value and fun.
Had a private sailing day with lunch, that was fabulous and recommend it. The Hotel came round most days with ice cream, and ice lollies which was lovely.
However, one day my friend was lying on her bed and a heavy parasol blew out of its stand and fell on her. The staff were there getting her to sign papers within minutes of the accident.
However, my friend only had bruises and didn’t suffer any major trauma.
I have been going to the Caribbean for many years, and this hotel was not one of the best ones I’ve been too. A rather disappointing holiday.
