An iconic restaurant, Mapps bbq chicken is really popular among us bajans. Friday nights are usually pig out nights and we often leave the rural and venture to the suburban food outlet. For $20 you can get a quater chicken and fries with a coke or other soft drink...., not really cheap but not unreasonable either if you check out other fast food restaurants in Bim.
The good thing is that you can see the chicken cooking and being cut up, although lately the staff has been stingy with the sauce which was earlier available for self serve dispense. It is now applied by the staff bagging the food and if you want extra u can buy a plastic container, (which we call a timble) for an extra $1.50. They also sell (french fries) chips alone or salads. Staff is usually uniformed in matching t-shirts and head cover and there is a somewhat organised number or ticket system in place.
The chicken is not all that but it is cooked soft and the sauce gives it an added kick. However, I like my chicken well spicy and seasoned.
Nonetheless I like Mapps, I would recommend others try it
