We had a 7 night stay in a king bed panoramic view corner suite and were joined by our daughter and family for 4 nights in a 2 bed panoramic view corner suite. Many previous reviews have commented that parts of the hotel are looking tired but I thought the state of repair and decor was all right, maybe some things could do with a lick of paint. Our suites were wonderful, separate sitting area with bathroom and balcony, the bedroom had a large sofa and balcony, desk, larger bathroom. Tea and coffee maker was basic, there was one bathrobe only and no slippers in the room. My rating of very good rather than excellent concerns the hotel facilities, I would rate the staff excellent plus. To a person they greeted us with a cheery good morning/exchanged a few words inquiring about your day. They made us feel very welcome. The 2 pools were large, kept clean and didn't make your eyes sting from chemical treatment. There was no problem getting sun loungers with umbrellas by the pool even though the hotel was at full occupancy. The majority of our fellow guests did not go and place towels on the loungers and not use them for hours. The pools are not especially deep so no diving. The beach was clean and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas were available. Yellow flags were up the entire time we were there but if you didn't go out into the sea too far you could swim and the sea water was very warm. Yes, food is expensive but that is generally the case in a 4 star hotel on an island so you just have to budget for it. The hotel is a few miles from Bridgetown and for other dining options you probably need to head there, nothing much else in the general vicinity of the hotel. For lunch you were restricted to the Waters Edge pool bar or the Cuppa Cafe in the lobby. Food was nicely presented and portions very adequate. Dinner was available in the Lighthouse Terrace or the Careenage Bar. Again nice presentation and adequate portions but service in the Lighthouse Terrace was very slow and we didn't return. La Cabane, next to the pool bar was our favourite place to eat. Tables on the sand with canopies over them. All in all a mostly positive experience with the following cons: the jacuzzi was shut for the entire week, in a hotel with full occupancy I would expect all facilities to be available; the toilets by the pool need refurbishment, the doors in the ladies both had broken locks, my husband would not use the men's because it was so grubby. My major complaint is that as a gold Hilton Honors member my husband had booked and paid for both rooms. As a gold member we were entitled to complimentary continental breakfast, however, the hotel insisted on charging for our daughter and husbands breakfast saying they were not hilton honors members. Given that we had booked into 2 of the highest rate suites in the hotel I thought this was a rather mean gesture. In other Hiltons we have stayed in where my husband booked and paid for the rooms, all four of us were given the complimentary breakfast. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would happily return to this hotel should we visit Barbados again.

Recently stayed five days at this Hilton property. There are some minor maintenance issues but nothing to spoil your vacation so do not be put off by the negative reviews. I am sure they are being addressed in an orderly manner after some very difficult years of COVID where world travel was affected. Food and drink are a bit on the expensive side when compared to international standards but Barbados is known as an expensive island so once you do your research you should not be surprised with prices on the island.
The property is well designed that all rooms have some water view.
All the staff, Check in, bar, restaurants, pool, housekeeping shops etc that we interacted with were very friendly and pleasant. They all appeared to be genuinely happy having you as a guest.
Large well kept pools, many loungers and umbrellas available on the beach. Pool and beach towels always available. All in all it was a great stay. Stayed in room 575 which had great view of the pools , beach and ocean.
Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Barbados.

We stayed her on a organised even which most of the people staying during my time where attending that event.

Check in was easy but was not good that we had to put a huge charge on our credit card as a deposit. I understand that there should be a deposit but not to the amount they wanted which was £250 per room.

Our room had a wonderful view, clean even though slighty dated it was a lovely room.

We decided to have the evening meal at the hotel and for the cost of 99BD per person this was overpriced and not very good food for that price, this did not include a drink.

The location was good as you could get to anywhere from here, we had a rental but there are local buses to get around if you need to go to anywhere else on the island.

The staff and cleaners here where so lovely and did a great job but think the Hilton needs to step up on this hotel as I would not visit here again due to the costs and quality of the food.

We did have a lovely time but things need updating and the food menu needs to be much better.

Very disappointed with our stay at the Hilton this time after many previous visits. It just lacked the Hilton experience. The jacuzzi was shut more times than it was open along with the children's pool. The poolside toilets were very poor, not very clean and neither of the doors locked. The poolside bar lacked its usual atmosphere and many times waited a long time for our lunch along with many items sold out with no reason given as to why there was no salads etc. A lot of the staff were unfriendly with the exception of the chambermaids and the concierge they were lovely. We came back after a few years and our expectations being high as they always had been at this hotel, but his time I'm afraid we were very disappointed as spending 9,000 BD it wasn't worth this sort of money. I feel its lost its way and needs a general overall.
