Host was amazing. Everything else not included in price was expensive. Tastings include their cheapest.
It should be noted that this tour is not based at the distillery so do not expect to see huge copper stills. It starts very well when you walk through the door and you are given a glass of rum punch, and that sets the trend. The guide, sadly I cannot recall his name, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, he kept us hanging on his every word, he also gave good insight into family life in Barbados. Of course the highlight is the rum tasting at the end. You gradually work your way across the rum spectrum, each being smoother than the previous.
Mount Gay is one of the most popular rums on the island so decided to pay a visit and learn a little more of the history and of course some all important tasting. Our guide was very informative and the tour met our expectations. Well worth a visit if you are spending some time in Bridgetown.
Went on this trip with friends and had a really interesting and enjoyable time. The guide was very funny and had us all laughing even before the rum tasting! The rum was gorgeous and you could really tell the difference in types. The meal we had was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it. All the staff were friendly and attentive and I would definitely recommend this trip.
Great tour around the distillery, had a good laugh, very informative and enjoyable visit. Came out tipsy.
