This is out of the way at the end of Ferry Reach Park. It is just about suitable for a visitor with a stick but the ground is rough in places. At the moment you cannot go into the tower or across the bridge to the doorway. The views across the bay's are wonderful. The breeze is pleasant on a hot day. It is unlikely you will meet anyone here so if you like exploring and the feeing of your own company it is perfect. To get here you will need car or moped or a taxi ride. Not close to the town and not really on the way to anywhere. Locals may walk here with dogs and sometimes people fish off the rocky shore. The bay nearby is sheltered and suitable for swimming and snorkelling but there is no beach - for that you have to go further along to Tobacco Bay. Worth seeing if on extended visit or here for repeat, but not if first visit or you are pushed for time.

The martello tower is located in Ferry Reach Park outside of town of St Georges. I have only visited in early Spring when I have yet to find the tower open to the public but believe it is probably in the summer season.
Whilst the Park is accessible by road, I have used the old Railway Trail on various occasions to walk there. I really enjoy the walk along what can be rather windy, but the views are wonderful (once you get round the oil refinery!) Don't be put off by the industrial bits, once past those the path and park feel quite remote. The tower is one of the treats for making the effort to get there. I more enjoy the park it sits in and the various picnic sites it offers for a picnic after the longish walk. i love sitting on the rocks overlooking the sea with the yachts and very occassional plane leaving the airport!
if you can pick up the free railway trail map/guide before going you will be directed off the trail to a graveyard for yellow fever victims which i found very interesting.

p.s there are bathroom faciliies but beware are the "countryside" kind! I'd only use if desperate!
