We just came back from our honeymoon and can't stop gushing about the treatment we had at Bucuti. We were greeted with two flutes of champagne and that set the tone for the vacation. When we arrived we realized we didn't have a memory card for our videocamera. Ignacio, the manager on duty not only told us where to get the card from but went and got it for us while we checked in and got settled. Bucuti is all about relaxation and romance. We stayed at the Tara suites which are directly on the beach. There is no more romantic spot on the island. What we liked the best was... it's the only resort on the island that does not allow children. Our friends at other hotels complained about how children would interrupt the romantic mood when splashing in the jacuzzi or when they had a peaceful spot on the beach. We encountered nothing but peace, relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to Bucuti!!

Room tip: Tara suites with the beachside rooms. On the ground level.

Bucuti / Tara Suites

My husband and I, married almost 27 years, first discovered Aruba and then Bucuti/Tara Suites 3 years ago. Our most recent trip was 7/30/12-8/13/12. To me, the best of Aruba and Bucuti are one and the same-beautiful, friendly, relaxing and refreshing-that cool, turquoise water. We just love it there.

The rooms are clean with attention to detail and the staff is wonderful. The staff was so engaging and interested in our experience there: Margarite in the breakfast room, Robert delivering food and drinks on the beach, Madeline, concierge, who helped us find our way to the home and workshop of Ciro Abath, native Aruban sculptor and others who on our last day gave us hugs. Then Ewald Bieman, owner of Bucuti/Tara, who greeted guests in their native language and said goodbye to us also.

The bar on the beach serves as a gathering place both at lunch and happy hour for us as a couple to reach beyond each other and get acquainted with other guests. Also the Bucuti-guest-only sunset cruise gave further chance to bond with guests we had met at the bar. The sunset cruise would have been "gentler" had a small young group of couples on board toned down the sound level of their conversation. To them, the sunset seemed incidental. Evenso, we enjoyed talking with other folks and the crew. We witnessed the crew rescue a small rubber boat with a father and young son that had drifted "out to sea" and tow them back into shallow water.

On our last night of vacation, we wanted to have a special, romantic dinner and had been to a number of special restaurants on Aruba so we knew we had a lot to choose from. Ultimately, we decided to dine on the deck at Bucuti overlooking the ocean. Dining on seafood and beef with a bottle of Moet et Chandon and perfect service by our Bucuti waitress, we knew we had made the right choice

As you can probably tell, this post is a Valentine to Aruba and Bucuti.

Room tip: This was our first time staying on the ground floor facing the ocean-makes it a shorter, quicker trip to the ocean.

My husband and I just got back from our Honeymoon/1st Year Anniversary. We stayed at Bucuti from August 21-30. We were welcomed by a wonderful staff as well as champagne :). The staff at Bucuti is exceptional. Chantal (from Concierge) did such a great job at booking our excursions and making wonderful recommendations. Donald (who makes his "drinks with love") was always friendly and making sure your stay was superb. We cannot stop talking about how amazing our vacation was and Bucuti is the reason why. We cannot wait to come back to Aruba and stay at Bucuti. Thank you so much!!

Room tip: Definitely stay in one of the Tara Suites :) Money well spent!

We just got back last night from staying at the Bucuti for 11 days. We had the a tara suite which i think it totally worth it beautiful view and nicer room. The staff was great always smiling and greeting you. I espesially would to thank Chantal she was at concierge/front desk and was amazing. She took her time suggesting restaurants and excursions and i have to say we loved everything we choose. She was so friendly and sweet. But back to Bucuti the breakfast that is included is very good you have many things to choose from eggs, pancakes, french toast, donuts, bacon, sausage, fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cheeses and it goes on and on. When we arrived at our room we had champagne, chocolates, cheese, crackers waiting for us.The pool at bucuti was never crowded and it was so relaxing it was also great they dont use chlorine but something else. The beach was probably the best beach i had ever seen, truly. The water was so clear and where the hotel is so quiet espesially with no kids! We enjoyed the movies on the beach the hotel offers thrusday and sunday. The restaurant for lunch and dinner at the bucuti was very good and drinks at sand bar were strong and delish! Go during happy hour! We had massages at the spa which was very good! I just wish they did the massages on the beach. As far as excursions we did the sweetheart sunset sail (which i really recommend) and de palm island which has snorkeling, water park, banana boat, food and drinks all included. As far as restaurants i recommend flying fishbone, screaming eagle which was my fav reserve the bed! Driftwood was very good, hostaria de vittorio was good italian. I dont think i went to a restaurant we didnt like. We had lunch at matthew beachside, iguana joes also good and i cant forget about pizza bobs sooo good.. Also at te casino next door theres a over priced market, subway, dunkin donuts, little caesars, baskin robbins, etc if you want walk and eat cheap. We rented a car which i also recommend gettin around is soooo easy it one main highway that takes you everywhere. And we save a lot of Money on cabs. Going back to the hotel i loved it so much that we will def be coming back if not next year def the year after. We went to the high rise one night although very nice was very crowded and too much goin on. It was great for a night out but not to stay by there at least for us. If you are looking for a lot to do within your hotel this is probably not for you. As far as anything i didnt like which wasnt much was the gym. Not that i work out but if i did i would have heat exhaustion there its outdoors in a hut gyms need ac and i wish they had room service being that theres mainly couples here a lot of them would love to just stay in at least once and have dinner. But other than that everything was perfect and it was nice havin the manager deborah come by during breakfast to ask how our trip was. Perfect honeymoon! We loved aruba and the bucuti!

The hotel is excellent: nice garden, beautifull "caribean" beach, friendly and helpfull staff and the best food I ever had on a holiday: at the level of a very good Belgian or French restaurant, but with (excellent) exotic ingredients.
Great and beautiful superior rooms.
Fantastic experience !!!
