Stayed here for 7 nights 10/29-11/5, first day we arrived at around 430pm, checked in to our 1 bedroom unit on 2nd floor(asked for high floor prior to check in, guess they felt 2nd floor qualified), took the kids 13 and 4 y/o to the pool. At 630 we were told to be quiet in the pool byban employee, needless to say we complained profusely and were told the employee would be spoken to. We were not being louder than 2 kids playing in a pool would normally be, there are waterfalls in the pool that are louder than the kids, they were the only ones in the pool, and it was only 630!! Never seen a Marriott property worse than this one. The rooms are almost as dated as 90% of the patrons, if you are younger than 65 choose different accomodations, over 65 this is probably the place for you. Live and learn, we will not be back.

Had two two-BR ocean front units. Everything was perfect. Very nice facilities, friendly staff, amazing sunsets. First time to Aruba and would definitely go back to the Ocean Club. On site restaurants are adequate, but just a few blocks up or down the beach will provide some first rate dining experiences.

We traveled with another couple in September. First time staying at the Ocean Club, as we usually stay at the Surf Club. Very impressed with our accommodations. We were given a two bedroom on the 4th floor Oceanfront. The sunsets from our room were to die for - so beautiful. Could not have asked for a better room. Although there was construction going on in the lobby and the adult pool, it didn't interfere with our vacation at all. We were allowed to use the lazy river at the Surf Club and the pool at the Stellaris, but spent most of our time on the beach. We were treated very well by all of the staff. A special shout out to Paola at the front desk, who was so welcoming and sweet. The women at the concierge desk was so helpful making all of our reservations. Also have to mention the ladies at the towel hut, always a smile on their faces when we came down in the morning to reserve our hut and get our towels. We came down every morning about 8 - 8:30 and had no trouble getting a hut. The only negative, I feel they really shouldn't charge for the huts - the Surf Club doesn't unless you want to rent for a few days upfront. Definitely not a deal breaker though. We loved everything about the Ocean Club and would definitely return. I think it's my new favorite. Can't wait to go back. Thanks to all!

Room tip: High floor pool ocean view. Garden view is not great overlooking the driveway.

This my second visit to Aruba and i would like to say my best thanks to the the staff of the Ocean Club. They made me feel like i was family that was coming home. I've vacationed in a number of Marriott facilities but this has been the best! Not only the people at the Ocean Club but the hotel were very professional and loving!! Special thanks to Mario who took care of my luggage on arrival, Thelma and her partner who made sure the coffee was good and piping hot every morning, Tazi who made sure we were feed with mother's care 3 times daily! There are a host of others and i would like to say Masha Danki

This is our second year at a Marriott Vacation Resort in Aruba. Last year we stayed at the Surf Club, which we enjoyed but, if you don't have young children with you, the Ocean Club is preferable. We had a wonderful 6 day, 5 night stay here and loved every minute.
The staff is excellent, friendly and always willing to go out of their way for you.
The Palapa situation is not always easy to navigate with my husband having to go down at 7am to reserve one for the day for us if we did not reserve one in advance, but he found that a minor inconvenience since it got him out of going to the gym with me.
Loved the well-equipped gym. Only criticism is that it is way too warm and needs better air conditioning before someone collapses from the heat.
One bedroom suite was nicely appointed and very comfortable for us.
The amenities provided were also appreciated.
Looking forward to going back next year to, what is, becoming one of our favorite vacation destinations.
