Probably one of the nicest beaches in Antigua. Excellent ocean swimming and pool. Not fancy and low key not need to dress up up. Food is okay and the drinks are plentiful. Staff was very pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed my week there. There is a women on the beach who gives some of the best neck and shoulder massage ever. Reasonably priced.

This Hotel is Situated on a wonderful beach, all the staff and management were great, typical carribean setting hotel and quaint, food good and plentiful, although repetitious .
Would certainly return for another holiday, as it appears alot of guests do. Only down side our the toilets near the pool and beach, we mentioned that they were used by Locals and Vendors and were left in a mess. Management did get staff to come and clean on a regular basis, but still did not stop Locals using these facilities although there are signs saying private for Guests only. We can see this is a problem because all beaches are for the public, but Sandals, just up from us had guards on all entrances stopping none guests using the facilities.

Room Tip: All rooms looked good with good views, we were fortunate to have a large sea view room

We have just returned from Halcyon Cove after a relaxing and peaceful break on what has to be the loveliest beach in Antigua. Blue seas and clean beach with generous shade and plenty of sun beds. We had read the less complimentary reviews before we went and had concerns. Give this sleepy relaxed hotel a chance if you are looking for an understated, peaceful and friendly atmosphere for a well earned break in the sun. Clean rooms with incredibly comfy bed and pleasant meals. Breakfast was excellent. If I had one criticism it would be the Awarri Restaurant needs a more fans to keep us cool while eating and some slightly larger plastic cups for the delicious cocktails served down by the beach would be nice! We hope to return next year same time ...

Room Tip: Sea View Poolside

Stayed for 10 days returning 14th. The hotel is in a great location with a fantastic beach, and everywhere is clean and tidy, especially the beach, the pool area and beach bar. By the hotel managements own admission the rooms are a bit tired but a refurbishment is planned which will make the hotel even better. Even so the rooms were clean and spacious. On the whole the staff are friendly but some go over and above the call of duty. The Entertainments Manager, Fenton is great fun and happy to take suggestions on board. Orlan the chef is always happy to chat and during my stay learned how I liked my breakfast cooked without me having to ask - very impressive. The same can be said of Heather who knew after only one day how I liked my cocktails and always served them with a fantastic smile - every time! And Errol has the biggest smile on the Island. Always a pleasure to chat with. Also worthy of mentions are Julian and Roxanne. I had a fantastic holiday and would come back in a heartbeat.

A wonderful resort on the north east coast of Antigua. We could not of have asked for anything more that the resort and staff could of offered. The wedding was handled perfectly by Debbie the co - ordinator.
The resort at first glance may seem a little dated, but we fell in love with all it had to offer.
Having a bar and a lunch time food bar by the beech is a wonderful touch. They rotate the 3 restaurants in the evening very well. Maybe offer a fuller menu but the quality of food is excellent.
The only down side was Gad the photographer (on site ) if you hire him, it is only cash and there are no prints just electronic photos that go up in price. For us he doubled the price of each photo to $20 US
It is 15 minutes from the airport $30 US. By taxi. There are ATMS nearby if you need cash but need a taxi to go there. Be careful on the time of year as you may find the resort full of Antiguan school kids partying.
Nelsons dockyard and Shirley Heights lookout point are just 30 minutes down the road by taxi and very well worth a visit
