This was our 5th visit / holiday at Hawksbill.... We love the peace and beauty of the resort and location. Stayed in a garden bungalow and cannot fault the room.
Cristabelle and David were again absolute gems working always with a smile behind the bar.
Breakfast was the same every day with a choice of cereals and hot food. My only concern was that for the number of guests that the same amount of staff should be present at breakfast as there are at dinner. It seemed that the 2 or 3 ladies/girls at breakfast needed a few more hands to help out.
Dinner we thought was very good than previous visits. Thankfully the set menus have been replaced by a buffet and cannot fault any of the evening meals provided.
We were a little disappointed at the state of Seagrapes Beach and Honeymoon Cove however you can't help erosion from storms though a little TLC would go a long way to restoring more beauty to these spots.
Eden Beach was where we spent our days at the resort - what a gem - the beach rarely had more than 10 people on it and was absolutely amazing!!! Again if every guest that went to Eden Beach did their bit this could also be restored to the natural beauty that it is.
While we were there, there was a wedding on Eden Beach and we were appalled that the beach was cleaned only where the marquees were erected and the cleared debre was just moved to a different part along the beach. Again we did our bit but if everyone who visited Eden Beach did their bit too then, well, it would be more beautiful than it already is...
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and can't wait to be back next year!!!

This is not a review of Hawksbill Hotel, this is a review of the beaches surrounding it. The sea on this side of the island is quite rough and rocky beach shoes should be worn.
If you walk to the left (looking out to sea) of Hawksbill hotel you come across two beaches the first which is little is called Honeymoon beach. The water here is calm enough to swim in and there are not a lot of rocks in the water. A lovely little beach.
The third beach which is the clothing optional beach is very long, very natural and very very beautiful. There are a few (not a lot) if naked bathers but you do not feel uncomfortable at all. I went topless, my friend in her bathing costume. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful however the sea is quite rough. I would recommend a visit

Hello Katrina, thank you for taking the time to post a review of Eden Beach, our only clothing optional beach in Antigua. Most of your repeat guests at Hawksbill return year after year to sunbathe and enjoy its beauty. We are pleased that you enjoyed yourselves and do hope on a future visit to Antigua that you would consider Hawksbill where you can enjoy Eden Beach and our three other beautiful beaches all while our friendly staff take good care of you.

The rats getting into our room dragged sugar sachets and soap into the clothes drawers and chewed them up, they also left strong evidence of urine and faeces within our clothes and across the floor. The staff were effective in moving us to an alternative room.Breakfast was always good and plentiful and the other meals were adequate but with very little change each day became tedious. The location and grounds are fabulous but most of the buildings and infrastructure are badly in need of refurbishment

Room tip: The rooms are a good size and well situated but in desperate need of refurbishment

Good day Odyssey, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of your stay at Hawksbill by Rex Resorts. I do sincerely apologize for the challenges that you faced during your stay. As we had assured you at then we have and do follow a strict schedule for pest control that meets health and safety requirements. outstanding resort as it always has been. can't say anything more except that this is the nicest, friendly, and most helpful, efficient staff and I can't say enough good things about them. I love the peace, quiet, and general great feeling I get whenever I go there.
