My family and I have been visiting Antigua for over 30 years and have stayed at Buccaneer for the last three visits. The hotel is small, charming, quiet and extremely comfortable. The hotel sits, quite literally, on one of the best beaches on the island, allowing for long walks on the white sand. The two 'cottages' are perfect for families, two couples or a small group of friends. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly and eager to satisfy your every need.
Buccaneer is located minutes away from grocery stores, restaurants and shopping in nearby St. John's.
I look forward to visiting again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a "home away from home!"

The beach and the water was beautiful. Loved the local restaurants on the beach. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were large and clean. I'd go back. Only suggestion: don't open the pool 'till 9am to keep the morning noise down.

Room Tip: Take an upstairs room

Our family of four: two adults and kids ages 5 and 10 had a great time! There were other kids to play with, a puppy to love on and everyone on staff tried to make everything as special as possible. Between the pool and the beach, the in suite kitchen and BBQ outside, we could have wanted for nothing more. Can't wait to return!

The location on Dickenson Bay was great. Lots of powder white sand beach to walk on every day. There is no restaurant here, but several very good establishments minutes away. The suite was well furnished, nice kitchenette with items needed, the staff is tremendous and so friendly, the landscaping with flowers and trees are beautiful, well maintained and labeled as to what they are. A nice pool is available

Room Tip: We had an upper floor room - seemed more private and still had nice balcony

We spent 10 nights at Buccaneer Beach Club and would have happily stayed longer!
The apartments and garden are kept meticulously clean and any queries are quickly dealt with. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach area directly outside the gate is small and can get a bit busy when the cruise ships are in but you always have a chair thanks to the staff reserving chairs for the guests. Coconut Grove beach bar is a perfect spot for watching the sunset with a very reasonably priced rum punch (or 2!) and the food was excellent as was the service. We stayed in no 9 which in our opinion had the best spot - the verandah caught the early morning sun. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable and the apartment was very well equipped. We would definitely stay here again - as it is a small complex it was quiet and relaxing and very personal. We hired a car for 5 days which was enough time to explore the island.
I celebrated a 50th birthday whilst we were there and I can't think of anywhere I'd rather have spent it! I have nothing negative to say about the whole experience.

Room Tip: Room 9 or 10 upstairs
