We were referred to this place by a local after explaining that we wanted an authentic experience - and we got it! The trattoria has a ground floor entrance and dining room on one street and on the second floor, it opens to a piazza which is inside the walls of the historic district, hence its name which translates to “inside the walls”. The menu was extensive but we were in the mood for pizza as were the many locals that were also dining in the piazza. The menu devoted four pages to pizza selections and also contained codes to indicate at a glance if the pizza contained veggies, meat, fish, dairy and perhaps more. The pizzas were delicious with very thin flavorful crust Neapolitan style. Pizzas ranged from 2.5 € (not a typo) to 10€ with several in the 6-8 range. Extensive wine list as well as House white and reds. Also a beer menu. The piazza is quiet- the liveliness of the diners and servers created the ambiance. The next morning I walked back to the piazza and there was no sign of the place! All of the furnishings were put away until the next night.
