This was a very pleasant hotel with fabulous views of the Douro. It was fairly remote. The rooms were a little on the small side and not very well lit, which was a pity. There was also nowhere to put your case to unpack, although the rooms were provided with dressing gowns and slippers.Rooms were clean and the food was generally good and the staff friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our visit once we found it. It's a very remote location on a narrow road. The hotel has very comfortable king beds with good pillows. Robes and slippers are provided. Good parking, good internet, beautiful views with a spacious private glassed in balcony. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant both nights and the food was excellent. The breakfast selection is large and plentiful. Unfortunately the pool and spa were closed for renovation. The staff was friendly and the room was spotless.

Room tip: Floor one is the lowest as it's on a hillside and has the best unobstructed view.

You see the photos of an exterior pool as well as a spa area with an indoor pool. You see a pool table on a bar and everything seems perfect. When you get there, the two pools are closed, the spa is closed and the bar with the pool table is fully packed with stuff and abandoned, therefore no chance to play.
We ordered two toasts (6€) (on the main bar) that were totally burned!
The view is amazing for sure, but rooms are small despite cleaned, but they are very badly isolated (you hear the hosts on the next room) and the staff lack experience dealing with customers.
Will not comeback for sure!

The hotel is striking when you pull in and then walk into the modern foyer area. Room efficiently designed to appear modern and stylish, yet still have practical storage available. The clear balcony and floor to ceiling windows offer a breathtaking view of the Douro River Valley. Welcomed us with complimentary chocolate and champagne making our honeymoon more special. We were looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the pool and spa and were disappointed to find they were closed for construction. Admittedly we have yet to find out whether that was communicated to our travel agency or not. TBD.

There is not much near the hotel, so walkability is an issue if you are looking to esplore on foot. The flip side of that is their food is amazing! The breakfast buffet delivers delicious choices to your fingertips. We enjoyed two other meals and both were amazing. The staff are knowledgable of each item and the chef puts together tasty dishes that embrace the local food fare.

A beautiful new hotel
All rooms face the river
Room not particularly large but very clean with a large balcony which overlooks the river
Excellent breakfast.
The hotel is in an isolated place but there is a chef restaurant, so you can get dinner.
There is a pool and a spa but we did not use it

Room tip: all the rooms are good
