I took the cooking class at Bumbu Bali Cooking School and was blown away at the complexity of Balinese cooking. Our day started with a visit to the market to purchase some of the ingredients for our session. After that, we went to the wet market and it was definitely wet! A torrential rain descended upon us but we were still able to get into the market and view all the varieties of seafood available. Next, on to the outdoor cooking theater where we were taught the intricacies of different spice mixtures. Each person had an opportunity to prepare and make at least one dish and lunch was delicious. I highly recommend this experience if you're in to cooking classes.
