The wife and I are on honeymoon from NY and have what I’d consider fairly high standards when it comes to food. Doesn’t always need to be fancy, just good and priced accordingly. Well, we heard good things about Le Lezard Jaune so we figured we’d try it on our last night in Mo’orea. Totally blew us away! Philippe picked us up at our hotel and was very French, and very outgoing and friendly. The owner provided suggestions which all worked out. First of all, do yourself a favor and order the poisson cru as an appetizer (huge portion, so split it with your dining companion(s). Best thing we ate on the entire island!! No joke. Then we had shrimp and a fish special, shrimp served on skewers hanging on the table, it was a pretty cool unique way to see it served. Dessert was a coconut cake but really it was almost like a macaroon. Such a great way to end the meal. We could not say enough nice things about how much we enjoyed our dinner. Service was great, food was great. Highly recommended!!!
