This is a small, unpretentious accommodation right by the lake. We stayed on the top floor with a big terrace where we did our morning exercise and meditation facing the lake, ducks and the glorious landscape. The Egirdir area is definitely worth a visit. You could stop by here on your way to Pamukkale or Cappadocia. It is almost like a cheaper and less coiffed version of Lake Lugano or Como. And the breakfast was wonderful, fresh and delicious!

We (3A+2C) checked in without any fuss. Shown to two adjoining rooms with a shared balcony on the first floor, facing the lake to the south. Spectacular place with great views and attached restaurant on the lake side. We found the rooms spotless and comfortable, quiet and nicely appointed. Plenty of parking on the property. The staff were friendly and helpful. Included was a delicious Turkish breakfast, in the restaurant, lakeside. A nice, peaceful, clean place where we will stay again and recommend to others. MickT

Booked for 1 night but stayed for 2. Very friendly staff, great room, clean and spacious. Breakfast was brilliant, by the lake. We had a room overlooking the lake and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here for two nights and were lucky to be allocated in an upper room overlooking the lake. This is a pension rather than a hotel so the standards and amenities are not as high.
The room is basic but comfortable enough and the bathroom a little cramped. (Although the shower was a good size with lots of hot water). There was a terrace which would be terrific in nice sunny weather, with wonderful views.
The host, Huseyin, was very chatty and friendly, good cook and speaks excellent English as was Yilmaz who was a charming gentleman.
Having their own restaurant right in front of the pension was a plus point, as the views while relaxing over a nice fish meal were memorable. Prices for food and drinks in the restaurant are reasonable for its position. Breakfast was an equally pleasant affair, along with eggs cooked to order which was good.
We went up to the local viewpoint, Akpinar Koyu Village, which is highly recommended. (Take a taxi up and it's an easy walk back to Choo Choo). The views from the viewpoint are breathtaking and it has a good cafe / restaurant for refreshments).
In summary, the lake and the scenery are stunning but unfortunately Choo Choo does not match this on value for money. (They kindly collect you and drop off at the local bus station if requested, which is another plus point however). There is not much choice on the peninsula, so for the views and very pleasant hosts, it may be the price you just have to pay.....
