Our visit at Wooden Cabbage exceeded my expectations, even though I did read most of the other tripadvisor reviews. The house itself is charming and beautiful. Susie and Martyn are wonderful hosts and went out of their way to cater for our wishes. It was a wonderful weekend and we will be back should we ever be around that area again. Thank you for a great time.

In the folds of the beautiful Dorset countryside is the best of Dorset; the setting and the hospitality of the Wooden Cabbage. The breakfasts were a treat and beds were so comfortable. Martyn's version of scrambled eggs on toast bettered mine at home. And I do a very good one too.

Room Tip: The views overlooking the valley are best seen by staying in the bedroom situated over the private rooms downstairs.

For us it was the perfect location with the satnav taking us right to the house. The house had undergone some major changes wihich had made it a delight. The breakfast room was on the back of the property with great views of the garden and beyond. It had some lovely pot plants and was a room we were sad to leave. Our bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: I'm sure whichever room you choose you will enjoy it.

Wooden Cabbage far exceeded our high expectations ! Right from the start we were made very welcome and the attention to detail throughout was faultless. A lovely " home from home " feel about the whole place with delicious home grown produce served in abundance throughout our stay. Really helpful and appreciated advice regarding dining out ( strongly recommend the Anchor ) and wonderful local places to visit of which there are many. In short, this place cannot be recommended high enough and we look forward to returning soon ! Ant and Jules
