The Cooks Oasis garden villa we stayed in was the perfect place to escape the world, relax and enjoy a warm holiday. Sitting on our private outdoor deck we had a good view of tropical gardens. Our villa’s vaulted, wooden ceiling and smooth white walls looked amazing with the new, pretty tropical linen and artworks. We had a separate bathroom with a great shower and there was a good kitchen. Everything was sparkling clean and so tidy. We had an extra bedroom for a grandchild to stay in and this was ideal. We enjoyed the pool and it was only a minute to walk to the beautiful, nearby beach. It was great to see the tropical fish while snorkelling in the warm sea.
Our hosts Clinton and Maria were amazing, really helpful and friendly, giving information on where to go and what we might like to do. They also offered to book things for us too.
It was a great place to relax after a busy day out sightseeing, snorkelling or socialising.

Room Tip: .Get the garden villa for the best indoor/outdoor flow

The room was clean and tidy with ample supplies to self-cater some aspects of my stay. A short stroll to a beautiful beach with warm lagoon swimming. If you are lucky, you will see whales passing by. The owners (a kiwi couple who have been running the accommodation for approx one year) could not do enough to help. They were informative about local attractions, providing tips and booking tours. Personal touches, such as the flowers provided on the balcony table, were much appreciated. Fellow patrons were friendly, passing on travel tips. Recommend this accommodation as a convenient and affordable option.

My room was spacious and had everything i needed for my stay.
Bed was comfortable, generous sized fridge, fan provided.

The location is tucked away and well insulated from road noise.
As my room was on the ground floor the only noise I had was the footsteps of the people above, but nothing to disturb my time.

Staff were helpful and friendly, providing guidance to local amenities and helpful tips.

Would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and comfortable

Wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the Cooks Oasis and enjoyed it very much. Our villa was very clean and had everything we needed. We did not use the kitchen to cook but there were plenty of cooking utensils, dishes, etc. to use if we decided to. Our host, Clinton, was very friendly and helped us book tours, dinners and other activities. The Safari 4x4 Jungle Tour and the Te Vara Nui show and dinner were the highlights of our stay in Rarotonga, both suggested by Clinton. Several restaurants are within 5-10 minutes walking distance along the main road, and the bakery across the street was a great place to grab some pastries for breakfast. The beach is only a two minute walk away and there are kayaks, chairs, shoes, and other water equipment you can borrow. Overall, the Cooks Oasis is a great value and was perfect for us - we will be coming back!

Room Tip: Don't be surprised if you get woken up by roosters early in the morning

Because we were on a tight budget , we chose villa 7 . It is the cheapest holiday unit available at Cooks Oasis.

Whilst it is a downstairs unit and fairly basic , it had all we needed for a holiday base and were were very happy with the amenities, cleanliness and comfort.

They say you get what you pay for but we checked out similar priced units elsewhere on the island and this was definitely the best value for money we found.
We will book unit 7 again and if not available will be happy to upgrade to a garden villa.

A great place to stay and most guests are keen to interact with others around the pool or on the beach , so we made lots of new friends too.

Room Tip: Pay for air con in the summer , in the winter that is unimportant.
