I rented a small comfy bungalow in the grounds of the house. An adequate kitchen allowed me to cook simple meals, and eat at a small table with four chairs. The lounge area is comfortable with a sofa and TV. The bathroom has a modern rain shower with hand attachment. The large bedroom is very nicely lit with two single beds pushed together. Despite the cold when I visited, a heat exchanger kept the space nice and warm. There is a bench and table on a patio area outside.
Breakfast in the main house is quite late by English standards (9-11am) and a simple but wholesome combination of strong coffee, bread, homemade cake and delicious tomato jam.
The hosts were very friendly.
It wasn't easy to find as both my satnavs took me to a slightly wrong position. It is directly opposite the fuel station.More
