We had not planned an overnight stop, but our ferry to Santander was late due to bad weather and not relishing the prospect of a long drive in the dark we looked for somewhere to stay near Tarancon.
When we rang they said they were full, but we turned up and it turns out this is their policy! Although they did have a room which was a relief as time was getting on and we were both tired.
The room was good, fairly large with a good bathroom and a view over the pool and vineyards beyond.
The restaurant was closed, but we had a good selection of delicious tapas and drinks in the cafe- bar. We had a good night in a really comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast. There was a wide choice and it was all freshly prepared and was more than we could eat.
In all this was a great find and we will certainly stay here again, in fact we may well take a break here. It is a working vineyard and bodega and seems to be well maintained. My wife enjoyed one of their wines so much she bought four cases to take away!

We've visited a number of times over the last 5 years and it never disappoints!

It has all the amenities you need. Pool, sun loungers, spa, wine and good food. A great place to relax after visiting the sights of Madrid.

If you can upgrade to a junior suite it is well worth it (there are only 2 in the hotel). Extras include a bigger bedroom, four poster bed, jacuzzi bath and sitting area.

Breakfast is great, plenty of choice and all fresh. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. I can't recommend here enough for an add-on to a Madrid city break, or stop-through to other areas in Spain.

I dont think one could expect any more from a 4 Star hotel. Truly beautiful and peaceful natural setting. Comfortable bed and large modern bathroom. Great restaurant. Excellent spa with a wide range of services. Small but adequate and modern gym. Pool area in back with great views. A helpful staff and a wide range of possible activities for all tastes.

We stayed at the Finca La Estacada for 2 nights with our 5 year old son (DB&B basis). We booked a suite.
We were delighted with the finca, our room was spacious with a wonderful view over the countryside and swimming pool. All the facilities were clean, modern and worked well.
We used the swimming pool which was warm, clean and had plenty of sunbeds surrounding it.
We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was good and varied. Dinner was excellent - the food was high quality and the price included water, wine, coffee/tea and well as three courses.
There is plenty of parking.
We didn’t get into the actual the wine production visits, etc but we did drink some of the finca’s wines - these were very drinkable and good value.
We would definitely recommend this finca, it is a great place to stay and there is plenty of places to visit nearby by car. (Bear in mind, that apart from the wine experience and the pool/spa, you need a car).

Room Tip: Book the suite - it's spacious with a great view (and a Jacuzzi bath)

Been there with my wife for a couple of nights. Stayed at the hotel and took all meals at the hotel restaurant during this time.

Pros:
- Restaurant is good: all dishes (except one lobster/shrimp risotto that was not good) are great. Kudos especially to the desert, which is fantastic.
- Late afternoon vibe: a lot of people go there at the end of the day for drinks, and the vibe is quite good. Very relaxing to go there for a drink or two
- Wine is good: not the best I've tasted, but I'm no connoisseur (I take the advice from pro wine tasters, who say the best wine is the one you like, not the most expensive). Cost-effectiveness at their store is quite good - better than average, would say.

Cons:
- Overall cost-effectiveness is poor: room price is quite high for an average room, with twin beds (no king or queen size bed, but two beds put together and with separate blankets, forcing you to stay separate) and no additional services included - see next bullet points
- Wine tasting was poor and had very few wines: tried their tasting and, although the person guiding it was lovely, there were only 2 wines to try for the cost of 10€/person (people staying at the hotel took a 40% discount). Have been to other wineries where you had a free admission when staying at the hotel and/or more wines to taste. If you get there just to taste wines, go straight to their store and try them for free - I felt kind of a sucker when discovered that
- No check out or breakfast before 8AM: to me this was the worst aspect. Never expected a hotel, no matter the size or cost, where you couldn't check out before 8AM. Got my check out ready by 7:30AM and had to wait until someone came to check out properly. Not sure what to do otherwise, since I've not been advised when checking in about that - and also because this isn't what you expect from a serious hotel

Other: haven't tried the spa, so can't comment about that

Overall: wouldn't come back to stay. Have found places with the same rate and much better level of service in the Iberian Peninsula. Food was good, although 1 out of 4 meals we've made wasn't good and the restaurant isn't that cheap. If you ask me if you should go there for holidays, my answer will be no (unfortunately, since the place has plenty of potential)

Dear guest,

thank you for sharing your experience at Finca la Estacada. We are happy to know that you liked our food at restaurant but we are not very happy to know you won't come back to visit us.
Just to clarify two points: the information about check out is published with all the information details about the resort inside your room. If you need checking out before 08.00 h you could done before 00.00 h, so, then you don't have to wait until 08.00 to leave the hotel, and make an check out express.
About the wine tasting, like you said, we make everyday a winery tour that finish with a tasting of two wines. Each month we are changing the wines to make different tasting. This activity has a duration about 2 hours. If the people want to taste another wines, they could do it at our winery shop.

We would be happy if you come to visit us again, maybe if you had booked in other room (you have stayed in an standard room, we have deluxe room with queen size bed and suites with jacuzzi, etc) you could enjoy it.
Anyway, you had included in your room a bottle of the most popular wine of Finca la Estacada, water in the minibar and vinotherapy amenities. Also the use of the pool and paddle courts for free and other discounts to use the spa.
We would like to visit us to make another different stay, we will be sure that you will like it.
Thank you and best regards.
