The location of this hotel is very poor,it is too far away from the railway station.Have to go upstairs. The room is dark and smelly, the toilet is very dirty.I don't think this is a good hotel at all.I will not visit this hotel anymore in my life.

Good: Location, sunrise wake up call came really in handy, spoke English, were very nice at the counter and free breakfast, even if the breakfast is so so, it is also convenient.
The not so good: Bed is clean but walls are dirty, shampoo smells horrible. Check-in is a little too late (3pm)

The quality of my review is limited as I arrived at 6 pm and left at 6am (Off to climb Mt Yushan.)
The hotel is basic" I had a large room with 2 queen beds. Bathroom OK, shower good with hot water. I couldn't find a heater. I didn't really need it but wonder what it would be like in the colder months.
Very little English spoken but the staff were most helpful in arranging early morning transport to the start of the trek.

The hotel is located inside Alishan National Park so it's walking distance to the train station (however be prepared for a short ascending walk). A 7-11 convenience store is located between the hotel and the train station. A few restaurants (mostly steamboat) are nearby too. Be prepared for around usd8- usd12 pax.
The room is very small and basic. However i find it acceptable since most of the visitors to Alishan will be spending their time outdoor. Wifi signal is strong and stable.

To watch sunrise in Alishan, most dont have a choice but to stay overnight in Alishan. Wasn't expecting much but was really disappointed when we got to the room. The rooms had no heater and given that it's up in the mountain, it does get quite cold at night. The toilets smells and there were mould on the shower curtains and toilets was poorly lighted. There is restriction on time when hot water services is provided so once you miss that window, good luck trying to get a shower. To get water, you need to go to water dispenser in the hallway. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable. The sheets on the bed weren't clean as there was stain so we kinda squeeze on one side of the bed. Walls were paper thin. You can literally hear the person in the next room talking loud and clear.
