We wanted to visit the General Sherman Tree as we were passing by the area. The roads are curvy and driving up 7000 feet takes up alot of your time. You do see lots of deer in the area and less tourist then Yousemite, so you do enjoy it better. Highway 245 to avoid at night to exit the park, it is dark with short curve paths, near the edge. Inexperienced drivers should avoid. We wishes we could have stayed longer then a day, campsites are amazing, the path to general Sherman is paved and easy access for those in wheelchairs. Park entry fee is $30 USD for 7 days per vehicule.
