“I LOVE this trail”

Lakes Trail in Sequoia National Park
Reviewed 23 February 2017

I love this trail! I've hiked it a couple times to Pear Lake! Beautiful lakes along the way. I love how you start out surrounded by beautiful trees and then end up above the tree line with gorgeous granite mtns.

Remember, leave no trace! Do NOT write or carve on rocks, do not litter and do not feed wildlife! Pick up pet feces & throw way in trash, bury human feces & completely put out campfires. Preserve nature!

We went about 2 miles up the Twin Lakes Trail from the end of the Wuksachi Lodge road. The trail is a bit of up and down, across beautiful creeks, in the dense forest, a bit in open areas, near massive granite outcrops. Wish we'd had time to go farther.

My oh my what a beautiful place to visit, the drive was beautiful with lots of twists and turns the scenery was stunning, first time I have seen redwoods and they didn't disappoint, the are so tall and the trunks so wide, Kings Canyon was amazing, definitely would recommend this to all

This park is by far one of the best I've seen. The trails are good the trees are great. Looking at the oldest tree was pretty amazing. We used Sequoia Seeing Tours and Brad the driver was the best. There wasn't a question he could not answer. He drove those steep hills with confidence.

Highly recommend.

Take this trail all the way to Pear Lake for fabulous views. Be sure and take the Watchman route. We hiked 89 miles in Sequoia and Kings Canyon. This trail ranks among the best!
