Ross Dam reservoir holds a turquoise mineral-rich waters that connects the icy cold waters of Diablo Lake and produced hydroelectric powers towards neighboring cities. The overlook deck of this dam is very accessible with spacious parking lots and descent restrooms nearby. I love visiting this place because of its stunning panoramic view, hence, it gives anyone a sense of amazement and curiosity as to why the water has that bluish-green/ jade color. The wind was very strong when I last visited this place with my family and my in-laws who were visiting from Sacramento, yet despite of it, it didn't stop us from taking countless pictures with some silly posing and gestures as we truly enjoy our not-so quick stop. This place offers stunning views and fascinating historical facts, mounted on designated areas of the overlook deck. I love the place and it's a perfect retreat from our busy lives in the city.
