The cottage was wonderful with the most amazing views although it was a little challenging getting there due to single track roads. Lovely pubs and cafe in Calstock which was just a short walk away. Overall a lovely relaxing holiday
A wonderful place to be and relax. The Count House is beautifully appointed, with restrained unassuming elegance; every little detail has been thought of, down to a hot water bottle for cold-footed mortals like me... The views are wonderful, and the April weather with ever changing light meant the view was new every time you looked... Okel Tor Mine's remnants are fascinating. Calstock's "Boot", the nearest eatery 10 minutes walk away is full of character, friendliness and good food. Better even, stay 'home', enjoy a visit from Jess the happy dog, eat in the comfy Count House, and soak up the atmosphere, the view, the feeling of being far away from everything. Perfect.
Very well maintained cottage. Owners on site very friendly and informative, but didn't bother you unless you needed assistance.
Stunning views over the River Tamar and wonderful location in the workings of an old tin mine.
Be warned the drive to the property is not so easy, but it's well worth the trek.
Pet friendly area, with local pubs accepting dogs. Wonderful walks across Dartmoor and on the border of two of the best counties in the country.
Highly recommended for a a peaceful holiday.
Ah what a lovely week. The Count House was a gorgeous little place, ideal for the 3 of us plus dog. A real escape. Well equipped & cosy. Beautiful views, so lucky with the weather, we sat on the little deck each morning & evening listening to the birdsong... Lovely memories & hope to return. Thanks Greg & loves to Jess ♡
A place where you can just breath out and have time to recharge. A little heaven on earth. A very special place.
