Its an ever-active town where you can find almost everything in the world! Its not really big as one can easily discover Minami in a few days time on foot. Basically, exploring Minami on foot is the best choice although the subway (Midosuji Line) offers some smart shortcuts for example from Namba Station to Shinsaibashi Station. The whole area is filled with quaint stores and restaurants, not to mention some high-class and quality shops and eateries. Constant sales will be going on especially during peak seasons. Besides, there are uncountable hotels in that particular area, ranging from low, middle to high class. In a nutshell, Minami is an energetic town filled with equally energetic people from all over the world.

I used to live here 10 years ago and it has changed for the better. Namba parks and station has evolved for the better. It seemed busier and cleaner. Great location for shopping and of course the main station is close by. Great hotels in vicinity and a decent supermarket a few blocks back. Also the supermarket under the statin has a devine cake section and bakery!( like most of Japan)

If you want noise, crowds and Japanese teenagers - or more shops selling a variety of goods from tacky to very high end - this is the place for you.

Pachinko, bars, and restaurants for as far as the eye can see! There's enough in Namba to keep you busy for a few years. I'm not much into being a crazy party-animal, but I like to walk the Namba neighbor hood to take in the crowds and excitement!
