Our family of 5 reserved 2 rooms at this hotel for 6 nights. My husband and I got the standard room with a double bed. The room was very small with 1 side of the bed against the wall. My kids (23, 21, 14) got a villa room with 3 single beds that are placed against each other. My kids' room was in the newer renovated area on the 1st floor so their room was nicer than ours. Their room was small as well for 3 people but they have a bathroom with toilet and small sink and another bathroom with sink, shower and tub. Staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. Hotel has self serve laundry facilities in the basement. It also has a restaurant on the 2nd floor. We purchased and tried the breakfast buffet 1 time. Price was reasonable at about $12 USD/person. Food was tasty with western and Japanese choices. The location is the best. Hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from the Mejiro Station on the JR Yamanote Line. From the Yamanote line, you can go to many sightseeing spots without transfer. It's also convenient if you do need to transfer to get to your destination. Neighborhood is quiet with plenty of restaurants, 7-11, Family Marts, drugstores nearby. Our favorite for breakfast is St. Mark's Cafe which is just down the street from the hotel. It has a huge sitting area on the 2nd floor, plenty of room for us to stretch out. We won't even attempt to go to the smaller restaurants in Tokyo because there are 5 of us and we want to be comfortable. There's an excellent sushi restaurant, can't remember the name, but it's in the basement of a building nearby--very local. Overall, the hotel can use a renovation, especially the 3rd floor which is where our room was. The carpet in the elevator is very old and dirty looking. Price for the rooms were high because it was between Christmas and New Year. I would stay here again because of the great location but wish the room was bigger and newer.More
