Getting to the Westin Osaka is a little tricky if you’re coming by Shinkansen. When you arrive into Osaka you will arrive into the Osaka station however you will need to take a local train to the Shin Osaka Station. Once you get to Shin Osaka you will need to find the bus pickup for the hotel, otherwise you can take a taxi for about 1,000 yen ($10 USD). The station is huge and a little tricky to find the bus.
The hotel itself is nice, nothing amazing but very well kept, the rooms are a little outdated but in very good condition. The beds are very comfortable, AC works good, great water pressure and of course hot water. There is not much activity near the hotel so if you are looking for action, stay closer to Namba. The trade-off is the Westin has larger size rooms since it’s off the beaten path a little. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful.More
