Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda was booked accidentally. After significant research on hotels in Osaka, we decided to go ahead with Hearton Hotel Nishi Umeda, but somehow during the booking process, Hearton Hotel Kita Umeda came up. It was an oversight as the names are similar and their locations near to each other. Nevertheless, here’s my 3 pluses & 3 minuses for the hotel.
1st plus: Kita is still conveniently located; from Umeda station, all one needs to do is to walk ‘up’ a row of restaurants and shopping centres in order to reach the hotel. 2nd plus: Kita’s rooms are new & the hotel was equipped with drinks vending machines on every level. 3rd plus: Kita’s staff kindly loaned me an umbrella on a rainy evening.
1st minus: Kita is further away from the JR station. If your booking requires you to be close to the JR lines, my guess is that Nishi would save you significant time on your travel. 2nd minus: Rooms’ blinds are not 100% opaque, thus allowing the morning sun to enter the room. 3rd minus: The small ‘wardrobe’ was not able to fit nor store my suitcase. Storing it – would have obstructed the room door’s opening.More
