This ryokan is situated just opposite the Arashiyama station. Parking is available at 1000 yen just behind the hotel. We were warmly welcomed with free self serve ice water and plum water. Reception was friendly and spoke some English. This ryokan does not allow shoes in the hotel. Basically you keep tour shoes locked up the moment you stepped in.
The room is big , fairly spacious with a fridge ,yukata and two bottles of mineral water and two bottles of plum water given. Our window looks out to the car park. You can have extra pillows picked up at the pillow corner. You can also collect beautiful yukatas at the ground level. Wifi is excellent.
The five private onsens are the highlight. Two are indoor and three are outdoor and they are open 24 hours. There are lighted buttons at each door which light up when they are occupied. Wonderful and private for couples. Excellent place for honeymooners. There are also public onsens in the hotel as well which supply a variety of hair products and body scrubs( lemon, peach, seaweed etc). The best touch was the ice- cream and yogurt at the entrance to the onsens to enjoy affter the hot baths.
The hotel also has a free sister onsen, FuFu noyu onsen just 50m away. Quite pleasant.
Dinner has two seatings 5:30pm and 8 pm. Reservation needed. The Dinner we gave a 4/5. The hotpot was a let- down. There was free flow of drinks and beer even whiskey during dinner. The Tempura and side dishes were also free flow. We ate till we almost burst.
Breakfast served mainly Japanese but there were also croissants , cornflakes, salad ,fruits , yoghurt . Very good .
This hotel is excellent for exploring Arashiyama with a pleasant smooth walk across the famous bridge to the bamboo forest (1.6 km ) away with a cat's cafe , kimono forest and the famous Unesco temple on the way. Multiple eateries on the shopping street there.

Will definitely stay here again.

I've been here with my mother. It was a cherry blossom season. so It has a expensive price(almost 680$). When we check in, we didn't get guide yukata robe option and an escort to the room.
Inside the room, I saw a piece of tea that seemed to be pouring away from the previous customer. Wallpaper and lamps were also torn. Overall, the inside of the room was not clean at all.....!! :(
The clerk seemed tired due to care too many customers. So they were unkind. But expensive compared to quality.
* If you want a satisfactory spa and service, you should avoid here.

Room Tip: If you want to get yukata robe, you have to ask them first when you check in. They don't ask cunstomer to choice robe first.

Located west of Kyoto, this very accessible and modern Ryokan is perfect for a couple getaway. Just in front of the station so the access is excellent for busy travelers.
Nice atmosphere to relax your body and soul. Loved the variety of Onsen and the food was good enough. Good for couples but singles welcomed too. Would definitely stay here again!

Last stop if our trip with a 2 nights stay in this hotel, there are plus and minus for this hotel but price is on the high side for what we get.
Hotel is next to train station but you don't hear the noise
My husband doesn't eat raw fish and the hotel reconfirm this requirement twice. They prepared cooked fish for him but served in the same style as they served sashimi, interesting but yet quite tasty
Hot spring are good and also with private onsen which we didn't use as we prefer the big one.
The hotel will give you voucher to the public bath nearby, love that experience.
Free drinks (including sake etc) for dinner
There is bit of smell of cigarette in the room as the other said
The meal portion are too much for us, could have reduced
Overall it's nice hotel

Authentic Japanese cultural experience! Lovely hotel and excellent Spa facilities. Check your shoes, trade for traditional Japanese attire and meals. Japanese spoken... bring a translator.
It's the best
