Owner literally stole money from us! We didn’t originally book a stay with Wavelength, but because of a mix-up with our first hotel, we were moved to Wavelength for two nights and one night at the neighbouring guesthouse to Wavelength. For some reason, the owner of Wavelength meddled in our agreement with the first hotel and told them, that he was supposed to pick up the price difference for us (since the first hotel, we had booked and payed was way more expensive). We did not know that the owner of Wavelength had meddled, as this was definitely not something we had asked him to do. When we went back to the first hotel, they told us that the owner of Wavelength had stopped by and practically threatened them to pay the price difference to him. The first hotel then told us that we should receive quite a substantial amount of money from the owner of Wavelength, but when we confronted him, he refused to pay the money to us. His manager and the other staff members were kind, and it was clear that this was all him (the other staff agreed with us but couldn't do anything), but the owner made us feel extremely uncomfortable by shouting at us and acting threatening. We felt uncomfortable to the extent that we didn’t want to leave our valuables in the hotel at any point thus carrying around all our money, passports etc. at all times. All in all, a very bad experience with a seemingly very aggressive owner. Oh, and also the AC broke down and the warm water often didn’t work in addition to the rooms not being very clean....
